Non converted 922r legal or not?
Portagee Mike replied to Portagee Mike's topic in Second Amendment, 922r & the law
It's a 223 with a factory skeleton stock no evil features what I was worried about is once you start changing to US parts do you have to go to 10. Also if I go with a US mag and change the hand guard I'm down to 10 with no problems it's the whole California mag lock law that sucks that's the one I'm trying to get around. -
I have searched the forums here and cal guns without a good answer. If I use a U.S made 10 round mag am I out of compliance? It's a real pain in the ass to juggle 922r and Kalifornia compliance be happy you don't live in Gunhaterville USA like me. Also have any of you made a raa skeleton stock block out panel to bypass the use of a mag lock if so please advice is wanted. Portagee Mike

Well I know it's Bs here in California you all a gonna love this one if you have a semi auto centerfire and you have a pistol grip or a thumbhole stock you have to have a mag lock. I checked it up and down since I posted this and I can't seem to find a way around it. My best guess is even if you owned a Remington Semi 300 dear rifle and put a thumbhole stock you would have a fixed mag. It is so unclear on all of our rules here that I don't think that the gun police could decipher it and that they could find a law broken on every single firearm in California. Portagee Mike

Just got back from the hardware store and I just opened the thread I already got the furniture screws and they work great. Thanks Guys, Portagee Mike

Well it looks like I screwed the pooch on this one I drilled and reused the factory screws and it doesn't look too good striped the crap out of one. I guess I will try the hardware store to see if they have any small cap heads with large threads. I should have been more patent and waited for a reply. Portagee Mike

I want in! This is cool beans that you are doing this. -
I posted earlier on the 223 thread but I think it is in the wrong thread so sorry for the double up. Which kind or brand of mag lock should I get for a stock trigger location. Also I want a raa skeleton stock and I've notice about a 50 50 on if it needs a lock or not I'm just trying to clear it up I don't feel like going to jail any time soon. Portagee Mike

Also is there a magazine lock that works on a non converted trigger placement just to keep the California gun whiners off my back.

Are they a reputable seller I've been burned by the net more than once also is Mississippi arms expecting any stock soon? I would rather spend my $ with Mississippi. Portagee Mike

Hey everyone I want to spend my money with our sponsers but I cant find a RAA skeleton stock for sale. Also I have been looking into if it's legal in California or not issue with mixed reviews all I want to change is the stock and fore grip so I do not have to install a Rad Lock. If I do Have to install the Rad Lock then I will go balls out. I can't hit the broad side of a barn in stock form it does not feel right at all I fired a converted and man it was a total difference than stock Saiga. Thanks, Mike Garcia

I want to put a PSO-1 scope on my saiga 223 but I dont know of any trusted store online to buy any sugestions would help.

Does anyone know if I can run the skeleton stock & ncstar top mount & be California Legal? I do not want to install a bullet button.

I got to pickup the 223 today I have to say that when I purchased this gun I was under the impression by the shop I purchased it from that it is a second rate gun.But after I did some research I think the shop selling them did not know the product they are selling has better quality than all of the other AK guns on the wall.I have one question I purchased a NcStar AK mount for optics ths does not fit has anyone else had this problem?
