  1. I remember almost buying a Saiga 12 in early 2006 when the wait was so terrible but they were only 3-400 bucks. I remember I stopped when a friend told me how much he hated his AK and how they were cheap etc.... At the time I did not have an AK and didn't know much about them. Of course he had a 10rd WASR when they were not very good at the time. Knew I should have gone on my gut instinct then and bought a truckload of Saiga 12's. That and loading up on decent SKS's when they were $75 a whack make me want to kick myself. Missed buying Saiga 12's at $300 a whack in 2006, and SKS's for $75 e
  2. A good mount like this would possibly work. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&...18&t=308561
  3. I just ordered an AR and I was looking for a front shotgun attachment. (Masterkey http://www.impactguns.com/store/knights_masterkey.html I was turned off by 2 things on this shotgun, price and recoil reports. It's been awhile since I've been on this site but knew someone would be able to answer this. Has anyone ever taken and chopped and modded a Saiga shotgun and mounted it to the upper reciever of an AR-15?
  4. http://www.300below.com/site/americanrifleman.html and you can send it here. http://www.onecryo.com/onecryo/firearms-testimonials1.htm My local smith sent my 700 sendaro in 6 yrs ago for about $60.
  5. I saw in the old post some people are impressed at the accuracy. That brought up another question for you guys. I got a camo tasco whitetail 3x9 scope (only dropped once special) with mine and I have no problem with groupings with this but I do have a problem with accuracy close range and distance. It seems you can have one or the other but not both. I would zero at 20 yds and then run the target out to 50 and would be shooting high left. Zero it and then at close range It would be low right about 5 inches down and 3 right. What distances are you guys shooting with yours and at what distance d

    FRAG-12

There was a guy in my unit the first time we went to the gulf in 1991 that tried to bust a door with an M203 HE round. He was too close for the shell to arm itself and bounced back and detonated close enough to him where he got schrapnel from it. Helluva way to get a purple heart. I can't remember which if it was 20meters or 20ft for an 203 HE to get enough rotations to arm.
  7. I own a Remington 700 Sendero VS SF (heavy barrel stanless and fluted) in a 7mm STW with a Leupold VariX3 50mmX6.5X20 scope. To bad you didn't talk to me 5 months ago when I was trying to decide to sell it (would have been $1100 with scope 200 rds of brass and reloading dies). Anyway I came to my senses and realized I couldn't replace it for anywhere near that. But if I went out and bought another rifle it would be in the 7MM Ultra. This replaced the STW. If you look in the Nosler book the speed is very close to a 22-250. And yes I can hammer tacks with it. I shoot at pop bottl caps at 100yds
  8. Thanks again Cobra! One of these days I'll figure out the search. I was just about to trade mine for a buddies Taurus nickel plated 45 until I saw that stock.
  9. What's the rule? If an attacker is within 25 ft (or is it 35ft) from you and your pistol hasn't cleared leather your the one who's dead. I love the question in training if the departments should go back to the .45 and about half the guys raise their hand. (trick question) More stopping power right? Then they show a picture of a guy who's heart was basicly filleted by a 45 and ask if that is enough. Same guys say yeah. Then the instructor said the guy charged 30more ft and shot off 10 more rounds before he went down. If you don't hit brain or spinal cord it ain't gonna matter what you hit them
  10. I bought a Hi-point M995 9mm Carbine about a year ago in camo with a 3x9 scope for about $245. I bought it to get some range time and save the ammo from my 7mm STW rifle. It may not be real pretty but it works. Has anyone else got one of these or seen any other setups or stocks other than what they have shown on their page? www.mkssupply.com/carbine.asp
  11. Yes the top is separate, and there being made in 70 series aluminum. They will be shipping in June, finally. Still expecting $300 for it??
  12. Any word yet? Myself and about 5 other guys are holding off ordering S-12's because of the cost and availability of 8rd mags.
