And on the topic of 308 Saigas.........Has anyone here figured a fix or know someone that found a way to change the trigger pull from the long 3/8" creep and the rise to let off of 7/16"?

Why not just make your own cheek rest?

Got these groups out my 308. I made the Tac/Comp stock and the scope mount is from ClearView, the one with three allen bolts. The scope is a cheap Tasco 3x9x40 and has worked for over 700 plus rounds. So far the Saiga is running head to head with my PTR91 in the accuracy department. I did have Bill Springfield from Colorado perform his magic on the PTR trigger. Don't think any thing can be done to the Saiga trigger except polishing the surfaces, however I could be and probably am wrong. Anyway I am happy with both rifles.

Thanks for all of the interest and support of my stocks. I printed all the replies from all the boards I frequent to show the prospective mfg's the viability of producing these stocks. I know it has taken what seems forever to even get this far. I want to keep the production in the states and sell them for 50.00 or less. Therein lies the production problem. May have to look into out of country and that will take a lot of investment money. Hang in there, I'm still trying!!!

Personally I would put a lock washer under the screw.....no hassles getting it of when you need to. worked for me.

All of you are right in your comments........Dumb me!! Forgot to state I do not own a real AK........Shame on me. Might have to remedy that at the next gun show.

I have been reading the threads on hi-cap mags for the 762x39 for about a year and still can't figure out why you need a feed ramp. I have three Romainian 20 and three 30round mags that have over a thousand rounds thru them and not one malfunction......yet! All I did was bend the front part of the follower up and fill in the front part of the mag so that it is flush like the stock Saiga mag. Maybe I missed something in the past threads but all of mine work very well.

Hopefuly they will be on the market about mid December of this year. They will be injected moulded so you can apply the finish of your choosing. I'm shooting for a cost of 49.95 and lower if The mfg keeps costs down. I can hand craft them from wood.....Birch etc, but the cost goes way up and it's hard to justify them on a 200.00 rifle. The cheek rest is removable.
