  1. I tried an AFG and did not like it. I have better control with a VFG. ....plus it is an evil feature...
  2. Cut a small notch in the LRBHO where the bolt carrier contacts it. That will stop it from automatically closing the bolt. Then pull the bolt back slightly and let her slam home. That is now I set mine up.
  3. I have an SGM Tactical "The Pro" muzzle break. New, never used. Left over from a build I never did. It is the same one I currently use. $30 shipped
  4. Right hand shooter. I tried right and left folding. Right was awkward for me to unfold and would catch on my arm. Left side was smoother to deploy with a small flick forward. Top mounted sights. I like nothing to interfere with the controls.

    got Mags?

    He must be still counting...

    got Mags?

    Got ammo to fill them?
  7. The only reason I use an AR stock is for it LOP adjustment. So in turn I have the pig-nose adapter as well. Nice thing about this setup is that I can change to any other stock that mounts to the trunnion. I had an Ace skeleton stock but needed the adjustment capability. Since I cannot find an adjustable skeleton stock, I have been designing one to make for myself.
  8. I use the locking folder from CSS. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-171/ACE-SAIGA-FOLDING-MECHANISM/Detail
  9. The "better rail" concept stills hold very little credibility with me. If is was true then only "quality" rails would work where the lesser rails would be the cause of failures. If it can only run with a "better rail", then there is something wrong with the gun. Mine runs great with a "lesser" quality rail.

  11. I have always been using a UTG quad rail. Once I profiled the bolt and hammer correctly, I never had an FTE. On or off, the rail never made any difference. I thought about getting a Chaos rail but I see no reason to change what works for me.
  12. I media blasted mine. I like the matt finish look. Plus it hid all of the machining marks. Taped off all of the polished areas first.
  13. Is the Cadiz LRBHO still available? I have had people contact me about mine, which is still working fine.
  14. Still 72 of the SGM 12 round mags left... after getting a couple more for myself.
  15. Yeah...If it was in his trunk... how was it used in a shooting when he killed himself inside?
  16. I will have to look for any instructions that I had but this a straight forward install. I did not like having only 1 front screw holding the magwell. I drilled 2 holes to secure it. The previous hole from the JTE magwell did not line up with the Tac magwell but I had drilled it slightly off with the JTE magwell (my error). The rear holes lined up fine. The front edge of the magwell sits about .015" rearward of the existing edge. There is another mounting screw seen under the safety. Works like a charm. I had to add some material
  17. I will have to look at my install for complete details. I had a CSS Trigger Guard and a JTE Magwell installed then changed to the Tac Magwell. It was not a big deal. The magazines have to be modified by removing the front and back lugs. The magazine locks in place using the side ribs. I reinforced the ribs and cut a slightly deeper notch for a better lock. My mags had been modified for the JTE magwell so I had to tweak them some. SGM magazines only.
  18. I would buy 8, 10, or 12 only if I can use them in a magwell (Tac47 in particular). 10 & 12 are my favorites but use 8's as well. I would be ok with modifying them if possible.

    Hahaha

I guess only the Pre-Ban models were single shot. Glad I have a Post-Ban!
  20. Has anyone tried a multiple spring design, as used on many semi-auto pistols? I use one on my Beretta which really helped and I know many 1911's use them too.
  21. I already had those shell holders from when I was using my FN SLP. If I had to start from scratch I probably would have come up with another design.
  22. Here is the prototype that I made. The final ones are black. I was using these for 3-gun without a hitch.
  23. I bought several of the R&R belt clips and returned them. Basically a bent piece of plastic with double sided tape. And they were not bent evenly or consistently. Kind of disappointing. So, I made my own. I had several shot shell holders and made a clip out of delrin, attached it to the mag which would slide into the shot shell holder. Works great.
  24. Can you post a picture from above? I am curious how much clearance there is on the sides of the receiver.
