anything in particular you alter? are you talking about simple parts fitting, and gas port sizing type things?

how much does a tromix converted saiga 12's run for these days. I have seen them on gunbroker for over 2 grand, but I highly doubt that bidder actually paid up. when do you think the price of tromix converted guns will peak? when do you guys think it will crash?

do the newer non dimpled ones? honestly i wasnt gonna convert it, except I wanna use standard mags, so i might. I dunno still kinda just tossing it around my head.

there is no way im gonna find a dimpled 7.62x39 is there? at least until the panic buyers start selling off what they bought

for what its worth, I have a fixed flash hider on my 16.5"bbl S-12. even with the short barrel it is noticebly less bright than my freinds 18.5 winchester pump, with the same loads. in a HD situation it is likely gonna be dark, and in a tight hallway. I want my night vision, and my hearing. flash hider for me please.

my piston staking came loose (after 2 years of heavy use), and RAAC was great about it and welded it back into place. I read another thread on ar15.com about how a welded piston was worse than the usual staking method. is this BS?

I have a similar peening problem, only on the receiver lug. looking down at the gun, with the receiver cover off, the tip of the right receiver lug is wearing on the top. the carrier looks, fine, but a notch has worn off the front of the lug. I have had this shotgun for 2 years and have never seen it before. should i be worried? I will try and get some pics, but I dont own a digital camera.

bump for more info also, how much extra should I expect to pay for dimples. I really dont want magazine wobble, and probably wont buy a saiga without the dimples. I found one for 300$ +shipping with no mag, but has dimples.
