  2. Now I know this isnt a saiga ? but you look as if you would be the perfect person to ask and this last reply seems really pertinent to my ? so here goes.....I have a wasr-2 (5.45) that I just fired at the range for the first time yesterday. I was only able to come up with what I can describe as a "shotgun pattern" at 50yds. Now I know it is not me due to the fact I shot my wasr-10 (7.62) right before this at 50 yds and got an average grouping of rounds in the black of the target. Now this totally suprised me as I thought that the 5.45 round would be a much more accurate round than the 7.62 sin
  3. man that sux....i was gonna get one of them...but then everyone said they werent importing anymore so i went and bought another wasr.......damit....i woulda got one of these had i known they were still coming in......
  4. On the latest import of WASR-2 rifles the charging handle is curved slightly upwards compared to the Saiga and Bulgarian straight outwards. thx alot for the info...made me feel better
  5. I just go an ak-74 clone....wasr-2 and i have a wasr-10 on the wasr-10 the charging handle on the bolt is straight out...on the new wasr-2 it is slighltly bent up....is this how it is supposed to be on the smaller caliber rifle or was my handle bent somehow
  6. http://www.classicarms.us/ ...that place is awesome ive gotten 2 rifles from them so far and im in jersey......this place is in indian trail,nc....they have 7.62x39 saigs 16.5 inch barrels with the rifle but stock for $230...and they have saiga 12s with the 19inch barrel for $370......i highly recommend this place....good customer service and prices...(just saw u wanted a .308...lol)
  7. found this on one site...says 5.45x39 10 rnd but cant figure out if its single or double stack...and the guy selling thems email is full......any gusses?
  8. ok thanks alot guys...i know a couple of places i can get .223 mags so ill try one of them and let u all know what happens....thx again for all the help.
  9. how do i convert just by changing the follower...or are there other mods needed?..thx
  10. does anyone know where to find these?...i have been searching the net all day and have failed to come up with any finds....i just bought a wasr-2 in 5.45x39 and i need to find 10 or 15 mags(double stack)....as my name implies im in nazi jersey and cannot have anything above a 15rnd capacity hence before they ship my gun theyll strip off the 30rnder thats included and i have no mag...so now i have to go on a search to find one just so i can go shooting...any info would be greatly appreciated...thx in advance guys.....
  11. your talking about the regular poly stock....or the dragunov type stock with the adjustable cheek piece...i didnt see any of the dragunov type ones on your website.
  12. so saiga central doesnt have any anymore?...i was just gonna buy one with the draganov butstock in .308 from them........dont tell me that man...say it aint so...say it aint so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. just as some follow up for this it looks as if im going to have to bring the gun to a gunsmith and have them remove the spacing plate under the front of the trigger guard where the mag snaps in...there is a def 1/8 of an inch of movement of the magazine up and down when it is locked in place and rather than placing jb weld on all the magazines id really rather eliminate the problem on the gun....this movement of the last 1/8 of an inch should fix the prob, i think and the magazine should be stripped of rounds by the bolt with no problem......
  14. thx for the info...i think i will try this if my little experiment with the saiga mags does not work...the other 10 rnd mags do seem to fit fairly tight in there and seem to butt up against the stop in the reciever...but im starting to get desperate here..... so ill try anything....thx again for all the help
  15. that is exactly what it looks like is happening except the magazine does not rock back and forth an excessive amount...and some of them dont rock at all.....heres the thing thats odd...when there are no rounds in the mag it looks as if the bolt comes cleanly over the top of the follower and just barley clears it...how it should to strip the rounds out....but when the mag is loaded the bold just barley grabs a round or completely misses the round altogether!!!!....i have watched this by slowly working the bolt back and forth to see where and how much of the round the bolt will grab....it just a
