  1. What... what flag is that in the last pic?
  2. Buy 2, sell one on GunBroker for $1400 while the market is still rabid. Then you'll have a vepr12 for $600 XD
  3. Thanks for the info! Glad to hear it doesn't need any major modifications. With the way the spike kit body slots in against the receiver, I was worried it would totally get in the way of magwell installation. Looks totally sweet BTW.
  4. Shoulda got it pink anodized instead, dude. What did you do to get the JTE magwell to fit? This is high on my list of mods.

    Barrel Shroud

Nice 2 year thread res, Bob. XD
  6. Yeah, a well-set up and slick-running S12 will cycle 1oz target loads if you win the Russian Lottery. It's just not designed for that. I had to run a box of heavy stuff through mine before it would reliably eject low recoil buckshot, but it's slick and happy now! first for reliability check: pop out the gas puck and try to see how many ports you have, and if any are occluded. If you're good there it's just a matter of polishing up the working surfaces. Manually cycling it a few hundred times can make a big difference on its own. You can also go over the rough spots with 500 grit and slick it
  7. Except on mine that's where the weld is.... Bernie's been including a short trigger bar for converted Saigas. Did some measuring around and here's what I got: Short form: your Saiga12 will gain about 2lb over import configuration. Assuming weigh as listed: 7.9lb stock w/5rd empty magazine Weight removed from system: Stock handguard 5.68 oz Stock buttstock 12.31 oz 5rd izmash magazine 6.6 oz total: - 1.54lb Weight added to system: topcover+rail: 5.33 oz body: 1lb 4.53oz trigger bar: 3.81oz receiver cover: 6.98oz Tac shroud with 1 rail, sling swivel: 10.3 oz
  8. I never said you'd get knocked over or launched into the air. But I've shot steel with lightweight shotgun slugs, and the the target jumps harder than if I had taken a 2 1/2 lb sledge to it. Seeing that I can definitely see how it might be hard to stay upright if one was even a little bit off-balance when hit. A hanging target is not a fair comparison, because it is inherently stable. Shoot a target with the same center of balance as standing person and you'll see a little more action.
  9. Yeah he definitely changed it. My barrel shroud goes right up against the stock gas plug. I WANT YOUR SHROUD. XD
  10. Grats. It looks nice. I bet that brake is LOUD. XD Interesting to see Bernie changed a few things since I got my SB Spike kit, most notably the receiver cover has more room on the left side now. Is there a cutout now on the barrel shroud to access the gas regulator, and do you have an aftermarket plug? I may have to see if I can get Bernie to send me a new shroud!
  11. OOh. Bernie's changed the shape of the receiver shroud a bit. Looks great with the brake!
  12. You guys are making me feel bad I just use a rattlecan.
  13. The glock sights supposedly fit. if I was going for a stockish lightweight build and wanted to use the dovetail instead of a weld-on I'd probably go for the Krebs set with a fiber optic front post. I don't know of any direct replacements for the stock front bead. Since you don't like the Krebs, you should look for the stock IZ-108 rib sight. It's the right setup for clays. I think Cobra might still sell them (or you could just get his cobra rail.)
