  1. Had an ex-coworker who was under the same impression. Also had no clue that "silencers" and "machine guns" were heavily regulated. After an hour talk she actually called her husband and asked if he knew the facts. She is a democrat and said that she was told at a rally that background checks were basically voluntary and didn't even exist at gunshows. There is a concerted effort between the gun opposition, Democratic Party, and the media to get guns regulated and lies are fair game. That said, their pressure and consistency with what appears to be viable arguments to the uneducated person
  2. As long as it is a schedule 1 narcotic very little research will be done, as it is currently viewed to have no actual medical value. I heard tale that they are in talks to reclassify it so that viable and indepth research can be done on it to see if all the claims are true and so that it can be used as a treatment for ailments that it does have a positive impact on.
  3. I went to high school in the late 90's in the DEEP south. We had an interesting school as it was in a rich area but bussed in all the surrounding rural areas as it was the only high school for like 30 miles in the county, so we had all types in our school. The redneck kids all drive trucks and we're all hunters and such, which they flaunted proudly and it was the norm. One day a kid from CA transferred to our school and was a super douche bag (2,000 kids and he was the king douche). He complained to the principal staff and resource officer about every damn thing. One morning he decided th
  4. This scares me! Who told you that you are supposed to douche your but.... Unless you "identify" as a catcher and the pitcher is named Jacque. I identify as a bank so deposit all your money at my house....
  5. They say it is a living and breathing document that changes with the times. Then out of the other side of their mouths say it only covers muskets because that was the technology of the day. When morons run things and we accept their work as law we are truly screwed, and that day is today gentlemen.
  6. What's sad is that it will take a social uprising where the unarmed are slaughtered to get international intervention. It is just a matter of when a large group decides their lives are worthless and they prefer to die on their feet than starve in their shanties. What is even worse is the media has completely ignored this travesty so as not to show the weakness of socialism during an election year full of socialists. I hope that people in this country are paying very close attention to this. This IS America's future if we continue down the road we are on. Did you ever think a self identifying a
  7. We as a race tend to worry for those that shock us instantly, but become complacent to those that take time to occur. Certain scientists have said for years that we have overextended the planets resources and are outgrowing earth, yet we still continue a population boom and the answer is to send people to other planets to rape them as opposed to being responsible for the one we have. As far as resources and availability, large cities are doomed from the gate. Smaller rural areas offer far more opportunity for survival as there tends to be game to hunt, bodies of water to access, and enoug
  8. Fixed. Today I got paid as many of you did. I have certain bills pay, and living expenses. But there is some left over and that is going to hard assets as it always does. Whether it be ammo or silver or storable food or whatever. Just remember that a dollar is nothing unless somebody is willing to trade something of value for it. And when times get hard, it's hard to get people to give up real assets for paper. And even worse, numbers on a computer screen. You think you have "money" in the bank? You have a number on a computer screen. Yes I have a 401k and yes I put money in

  10. But it worked then so it was cool. Just like not making movies in certain states because people are told where to pee. If you go to the DR they have a pill you can take to clear that right up. In the old days it was an antibiotic, but now it is antipsychotics. Man America has changed.
  11. All economies are an ebb and flow, where gains are met with eventual losses but socialism is the exception where it begins a decline and never recovers due to lack of desire and innovation. When the public has no reason to put forth extra effort, missing reward which from birth is the driving factor for humans, things stagnate quickly yet the youth in many areas push for this because they lack the basic human drive and instead want things without having to work for it. The irony to it all is as they mature and age they learn the error of their ways but there is already a new generation of
  12. Interesting topic. Current service members for the most part aren't the same as from just a decade ago and it shows. We got away with a lot of stuff back in the day but we took care of our battle buddies without fail, but now days there is no respect or loyalty. I lived across from a few lower enlisted who moved out of the barracks. Weekday in middle of the night they were partying like idiots, which would never have flown in my day. I tried to be polite until the cocky bastard smarter off, then I shifted gears to a more serious and forceful approach and they changed their tune. If I had my co
  13. Kardashians=good Religion=bad Transvestites= good Morality= bad Drugs=good Guns=bad We are officially in bazarro world. We went to sleep and when we woke up everything got reversed.
  14. Dude Comparing islam (a death cult) not a religion in my opinion, and that set of sharia law .....to the ten commandments of Christianity In NO way are the two related Thank you. I couldnt have said it better myself good sir.
  15. I love the Internet. Spent time writing a well thought out post and some moron picks out a single line, distorts your meaning, and then posts some stupidity about it as though it is valid. To hell with gun control we need idiot control. There should be an IQ test and reading comprehension test before you can touch a keyboard.
  16. Man the smithsonian wants it. I can see it now, the red slippers from OZ, a wooly mammoth, the Geroge Zimmerman "dirty sanchez"9mm. Seems like a natural fit to me.
  17. While I am not religious by any means, we are a nation of mans law which benefits him, when we were far better off as a nation of gods law where all men were respected and represented. If you are rich in modern times your opinion and vote count exponentially. Since the amount of votes that exist must be finite, each exponential vote for the rich totally negates the opinion of the average few. While no system is perfect, the lesser of two evils Is the preferred option when no other exists. Even our three part government of checks and balances has blurred to the point that it now only
  18. We all know that government agencies operate on a "what I say not what I do mentality", but unfortunately their existence had been affirmed by the courts countless times so we are stuck with them. What makes it bad is that most of these agencies have carte Blanche ability to make "regulations" based on their charters as long as Congress has not acted on the same topic (except for the ATF, they seem to do whatever they want regardless) and they can also change their mind on a whim with no cause. The courts view these regulations basically the same as laws, yet there is no citizen represent
  19. Best quote yet. This about sums it up. My best friend made a poor choice as a teen and spent some time in prison. It took work when he got out, but staying straight and working his ass off proved to folks he wanted to chance and needed a chance. He is now a manager for a company and makes decent money, even for a non felon. Problem isn't that there aren't chances to be had, it is that those who are branded with the title criminal or felon rarely want to put in the work and time to change people opinion of them.... Which is usually what led to their poor choices in the first place. Why work fo
  20. Victimless crime : drug possession/useMaking sales victimless by default The state is only a "victim" in the sense that the arbitrary dictate they imposed was violated and left avenues for confiscation of revenue. Just compare any law against drugs to alcohol or prescription deaths and yet to justify them. Then before you get on the "trafficking " issue ,keep in mind those traffickers wouldn't have a market of their product wasn't black market and could be regulated. Another example would be prostitution. (Some states a felony after multiple arrest) still safer when regulated. Then
  21. So, I read a lot of these posts and keep seeing the phrase "victimless crime". Can you please explain what this is for me? I was a cop and for a crime to occur there had to be a victim, be it a person or "the state" there was always a victim. Also, just because a person was not a victim doesn't make it victimless. Crack dealers who are arrested for distribution, where the victim is "the state" and not an actual individual, will and do have an impact on society. Same for any drug dealer, drunk driver, reckless driver, financial criminal, etc.... I do agree that at times there are asinine l
  22. Seems CSS has solved my issue for me. They have an adapter they just listed for the fixed stock VEPR that replaces the Frankenstein trunion and is an adapter for ACE folder adapters or the CSS raptor style stock without folder attached. Either way it looks like an awesome option to roll with and I am on the "get notified list". Thanks to you all who posted useful opinions or info on the topic. Sorry I went into bitch mode.
  23. Cutting the buffer tube is an idea I hadn't considered. Could shorten the length of pull from being crazy and still allow side folding. Too bad Incant find a FSF for a decent price. Any other ideas of how to make it fold using a fixed stock as the base?
  24. Evl gets my point exactly. Not a single vendor on this forum carries the part (i checked, Inspent a small fortune between CSS and MAA on my last Vepr and S12 and always try to support entities that support the forums) but whether he is a mod or not, trying to be a tough guy on the Internet is a douche bag move so I will act in kind. Then to make it worse he acts like he is gonna ground me or something with threats of points or limiting me? Go for it if that tickles your pickle but be a man and do it, don't act like you are gonna beat me up "I would also suggest the removal of your wise-azz att
  25. let me tell you, I feel genuinely blessed that you took it easy on me....gee thanks. What ever would be do without rude and condecending mods like you to be our internet daddies. You can take your points and use them to scrub your colon.
