    CA Legal?

THREAD FROM THE GRAVE. The only Saiga models banned in California are the ones marked and imported by "Kalashnikov USA". Saiga models imported by the other import companies are LEGAL as long as they are not configured as an CA AW. All shotguns with detachable mags and Rifles with Pistol Grips and detachable magazines will have to have Bullet Buttons installed to stay legal.
  3. On my newly acquired Saigas, I'm going this route with my new S12s. Before doing any mods, I test fired the shotguns with various low brass ammo that I had from WalMart, I didn't have any of the 100rds value packs. I typically buy the Federal 6 & 7½ Game loads for 3-Gun matches anyways for my Rem 11-87. Both of my new S12s ran fine with the gas port set to 2 with my various Federal and Winchester ammo. a. Sent out my bolt carrier, bolt, and fcg to be professionally polished and reprofiled. Also doing the left side charging handle. b. Since I'm adding weight to the carrier with the
  4. Code still working, Used it with my 3rd order from CSS. I wish I had been smart enough to look here for the code, for my prior 2 orders. Thank you!
  5. I'm a very recent Saiga S12 adopter, I have had my two S12s for almost a week now. I have known about the S12 for a few years, but I never really had any interest in it. I have a couple 7.62 X 39 AKMs for 17 years already, so they have satisfied my Kalashnikov type firearm requirements and enjoyment in my collection. I also have a couple Remington shotguns that have fulfilled my shotgun requirements, I have my 11-87 set up for 3-gun competitions. You don't see to many Saiga S12s in California, as they were imported for the most part after our last CA Assault Weapon ban in 2000. Y
  6. SOCAL sightings... I picked up two from Rifle Gear (Fountain Valley) a little more than a week ago. They had about 40 of them come in and are now sold out. I was at Ammo Brothers (Ontario) today and they had a CA S12 on their shelves. Ammo Brothers in Cerritos probably has some too.
