  1. I have an Xps on mine. Like it a lot. Used to have it on a sidemount rail but it caused fte often. Just because it's kind of a wider sight so as long as you don't have it directly above the ejection port you should be good. Moved mine forward on a gas tube rail. Works great other than when shooting clays on really clear and bright days the circle dot washes out with the sunlight a bit.
  2. Sucks you don't have a pre conversion comparison. I had a similar sounding issue with mine when I installed a side mounted rail and put an eotech xps above the ejection port. What was happening was the round was ejecting just fine but it was hitting the sight and bouncing back into the chamber. Try it without the sight and then with the stock hand guard. Hopefully you may only have to move the red dot forward some
  3. Haven't shot at an actual range but have w/ throwers on freinds farms and what not. 18". does pretty good, but have to get the shot off fairly early since i run without a choke and a Bonesteel muzzle break. I want to open my ports up just a bit to %100 run wally world bulk to take it out to the range. Can't wait to see the looks from the guys w/ the 3k over unders. I normally shut the range down sending slugs or buck so the trap line oughta be great.
  4. Hm. I learned something today. Always wondered what was under all them little circles on mine
  5. Never had a problem with it. Might take a bit of filing off the top to make sure everything locks up. Also making sure that the spring is in right helps a bunch too. use a Q-tip shank to hold everything together and then work the pin in. Saw a video or read that on here somewhere. There's also the option of making one yourself depending on tools and resources available.
  6. No, the nipple is toward the piston Isn't the nipple supposed to go forward? (if im looking at the right puc and piston being the op rod) (from CSS website) CSS Performance Puc installs easily with the flat side towards the back of the gun and the "Nose" towards the Front. Anyways i don't think that'd be the main cause of all your problems since it was doing it from stock. Post pictures of EVERYTHING from as many angles as you can. There are quite a few guys on here that are pretty much wizards when i comes to troubleshooting and building ridiculous running S12s.
  7. I use one of the "grind to fit" limbsaver pads. Have it on a MAA ace stock. Took the time to grind the curve, drill and tap the stock and it is completely worth it. Super comfey. Eats up the recoil on higher powered stuff. 5'2" girlfriend loves shooting it after i put the pad on
  8. throw some pics on here of the guts. bolt, rails, carrier, hammer area. as much as possible. guys on here are pretty good and seeing minute things. now when you say its sticking, will it cycle fully or does it completely jam up and not function? is it just sticking when you hand cycle it? did you re profile or polish any of the internals?

    Just do it!

Looks good! Did you just paint it or use something like duracoat?
  10. eotech xps with a flip up iron in front of it all on a "scout" rail setup. (above gas tube). eotech works well with slugs and general blasting, the circle is about the shot pattern. got the back up iron on there for just in case and as a point of reference for trap, since on really bright days the eotech tends to wash out in sunlight. used to have the eotech on a side rail mount but shells were hitting it on the way out and bouncing back into the chamber causing all kinds of weird jams and huge headache for me figuring out what was happening. guess the sight was a little wide for that.

    HD ammo

i run 2 3/4 Rem Tac 8. really like how it shoots/patterns. will probably switch to #4 buck or something similar for overpenetration fear, but i bought a couple cases of the tac 8 a while ago, like it, works good and well i have a whole bunch of it. As far as who's right about HD ammo, i don't care what you have loaded (other than dragons breath that i saw earlier in the post, don't do that) in there, its going to stop the intruder. period. just have to worry about your surroundings and blowing holes thru neighbors and loved ones on accident.
  12. saw a rus magwell 8 rounder for a starting bid of just 200 bucks on gunbroker a couple weeks ago.... prolly just better off getting the SGMs. I have a handful of the 10 rounders and they work fantastic. normally run 2 3/4" but 3" fit in mine. just gotta watch that some 3" are not really 3" long. same goes for 2 3/4, some people couldn't fit them in their drums because they were a bit longer than 2 3/4. the oem would be nice but i don't foresee getting one any time soon.
  13. Works too well, is that even a real thing? All it sounds like is that you got a good one. As long as the carrier isnt dimpling the rear and its obvious that its not beating itself to death id say you are fine. Listen to evlblkwpnz If you have any further questions on how to do ANYTHING with the gun you came to the right place. Some really smart dudes on here. Got mine up and running like a champ just from reading Welcome aboard! Enjoy
  14. Dry puck. Real light cost of frog lube on internals (not gas n flame areas). Works like a champ
  15. Looks good! Like the stock.
