  1. I just got home and opened the 2 packages from Vlad. One had the mag bodies, and the other had the springs, followers, base plates, and floor plates. They are all Izhmash and in pristine condition with wax paper still stuck to a few, and all metal parts coated with cosmoline. I'll be assembling them tomorrow after I clean the cosmoline off the springs and floor plates. I'm VERY HAPPY with my purchase from soviet-military.com!
  2. Not to hijack the thread, but I thought it may be of benefit for us all to hear about your experience with Soviet Military. I assume you're meaning soviet-military.com. Personally, I have considered purchasing from since they seem to have good stuff, but I'm apprehensive about the package making here without being seized. Have you gotten things from them often? How'd it go? Thanks, MGIB My recent order was seized by Ukranian customs. Vladimir sent me an email letting me know what happened, and he's attempting to resend the 10 5.45 bakelites I ordered with no additional char

  4. +1 for Mark! He is awesome to deal with, and the prices for his parts are some of the best you will find around.
  5. Mike, I'm definitely going to buy your 7.62x39 quadstacks, but as a few others have posted maybe once you release the 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 you could possibly work on a 5.56x45 version. I would be all over the 5.56x45 version for my newly acquired Gordon Tech/Arsenal K-101! BTW...your Saiga-12 20rd drum kicks ass!...just sayin'
  6. The Polish military magazines arrived fast and in excellent condition! They're a great addition to my Polish UF. Thanks and a big +1 for imarangemaster!
  7. The following rant is not intended to ridicule your noble aspirations, nor belittle your concerns. Far from it. Da, pretty much. Unfortunately, these "people" don't really give a damn about what we think and how we express it and it's time we realize that fact. Do you really believe eloquent words or sheer numbers will sway someone who's main (and ongoing) agenda is to restrict your rights to the point of nonexistence? Blather and posturing on their part will be forthcoming and that's about it. Legislation will be otherwise. Turning this thread "to shit" won't matter one way or the other.
  8. As many others have stated above if you don't want to go the DIY route then don't be afraid to use Jeff Covino at Arizona Armory. He does outstanding work, maintains excellent communication with his clients, and answers all your questions in a timely and professional manner. I bought a stock Saiga-12 direct from him, and had him do a basic conversion and add HK sights. My Saiga-12 has performed flawlessly and I couldn't be happier with the quality of his workmanship. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to convert/modify their Saiga-12.
  9. I don't know about the 10rd drum, but their 12rd drum has been 100% reliable for me. It seems the consensus is that Promag's drums are GTG, but the sticks are suspect.
  10. Atlantic Firearms posted the following in another thread in this forum on March 20th... "...the whole Saiga 12 deal stinks but there are a few things at work here , the market was slow on the S12 for the last 8 months so the importer was not bringing many of them in and wholesalers were not sitting on huge inventory levels. Within 3 days of the ATF talking about the possible ban most of the US inventory at the wholesalers was gobbled up or had jumped $100 bucks per gun .The importer only got a few more into the country on a already pre approved Import Form 6 but with the demand most firms only
  11. Ahhh! You beat me to it Cobra! Congrats on your purchase!
  12. MD Arms for drums and Mother Russia for sticks!
  13. A huge +1 for KC913! The Izhmash bakelite magazine I received is in pristine condition, and shipping was fast! I highly recommend KC913 to everyone...he is an outstanding Saiga member to do business with!
  14. KC913, my AKs thank you!!! I received the Izzy bakelite this afternoon, and all I can say is WOW! The magazine is in pristine condition. Unless I'm missing something it has never been inserted into a magazine well. Now all my Tula bakelites have an Izzy to keep them company! Thanks again for the sale!
