  1. My guess is gorilla lugs! I had them on an old car. The wall of the socket is damn thin. I broke one and cannot remember for the life of me where I got a new socket from. Hope this helps.
  2. Dont waste your time. Its mostly b.s. That will get you junk email.
  3. At the range this past weekend and old s12 decided to spit its mags out. Figured out it was the mag release. Somehow the spring managed to go into the gun and nothing was lost. Is there a trick to re-installing and keeping this from happening again? I could tig weld the ends of the pin (anyone think this is a good idea?

    Mags

Make sure your mag release spring is still in there. I was shooting mine yesterday and the spring fell out. Now i need a new spring to shoot it.
  5. Thanks guys. I have been around here awhile. I was just making sure I wasn't using the term incorrectly. They have to come into the u.s. sporterized correct? Then someone like legion, kvar etc. "Un sporterize" them. This guy kind of grinded my gears. Kind of started talking down to me. I mentioned I converted my s12 and it eats anything I put in it and left it at that.
  6. Stopped at a new shop local to me. He had quite a few ak variants. I have been looking for a new project as of late and started looking. Told him I was interested in a saiga ak 47 or 74unconverted. He proceeded to tell me none of them were converted and that i would easily dump $500 into a basic conversion......every single one of them had the pg moved forward. So wtf is classified as a conversion?? I just want to make sure im not missing something.I kindly left because i was uphauled by his prices. (Sgl12 $1799, saiga .410 $999 etc.). He did have .22lr though...
  7. You might be able to change the address on the tracking number website. I have seen the option but, never used it. Good luck.
  8. Does anyone know where you can pick up steel picatinny rail sections that won't break the bank?
  9. Got a folding mech. Great shape and fast shipping best paypal address ever!
  10. Fastest shipper in the northwest!! Got my trigger guard super fast. All the way from alaska.
  11. This one of the reasons i cannot take these guys seriously. Physically they would be screwed. Running, climbing, etc.
  12. This is why I'm partial just buying them "sporterized" and bone stock. I refuse to pay another $3-400 for some random to put it together and add there touch to it. Looks like he used a 100grit sand paper on some of that stuff..... Atleast you know where your competition stands.
  13. Classic has them for $319 w/ bayonet.
  14. Did you get it from classic? They have them for $99 still.
  15. They were cheaper in november. I was all set to buy it and they were out.
  16. Aweseome. I was so close to picking one up since the saiga 5.45 did a dissapearing act. I was a little worried about the stories though.
  17. Same here! My family has a friend that does estate sales. I habe got some great deals on old stuff like this. This crap they make today is a joke. Been hoping to come across a gun smith type so I could score some of those types of tools!
  18. I would go with a revolver. Atleast .357. While hog hunting with an sks (7.62x39) I shot a pig and managed to take another one down with one shot. Killed one but the other was a pissed of male. Took about 3 rds of .45 acp to ear hole to finish the job.
  19. Just went on monday with my 18.25 barrel (5" of it is a monster brake). I did great considering it was fairly windy. The clays were doing sometimes a little harder to when a gust rolled through.
  20. I have stuck with ridgid for about the past ten years. They have treated me well. Had an issue with my drill trigger. Home depot had it back in about 5 days with 2 new batteries!
