  1. I just bought two in their very good condition for $18 not five minutes ago. Beat $35-50 for Bulgarian ones. T
  2. My shots are hitting a foot to the left at 100 yds, with the front post being all the way over to the left. It is spot on as far as elevation goes. T
  3. Thanks for the input Mojo said their sight wouldn't work. Hmmmm I like the RPK and seems rugged I am going to try and make a night sight for the front and rear. If I fail the RPK will be my next option Thanks for the help T
  4. So am I wrong in my thinking. Fill in the rear sight notch with my TIG welder and, and use a file to make another notch further over, and put the front sight post back to center. I may have to adjust the front sight a little but it will beat being off a foot at 100 yards. It may take a little getting used to, but I don't like my scope being on it. I am going to paint the front post as well. Almost done with the remodeling Any input accepted. T
  5. Thanks Sgt. Raven. between this site and youtube, it should be a cake walk. TORTIS
  6. I've got everything ordered. The DINZAG stuff should be here in a week or two. Everything else I ordered from CSS, and MSA was here in a couple of days. Cant wait to start drilling the rivets out of the trigger group, and the folding stock mounting kit :-)
  7. I wanted a more manageable gun in close quarters, and fix my canted front sight. I like what SGT. Raven built, and will pretty much follow/copycat his build. True to form, I put the cart before the jackass. I was just going to put the folding stock on, but then needed a pistol grip. As you know, with a pistol grip you move the trigger forward, which means more parts to order after I ordered my stock, and could have just bought a kit, and saved some money . Not sure on which mags I will use. So, I ordered my collapsible stock, buffer tube, pistol grip, from CSS. I've seen a top rai
  8. I talked to him tonight, but doesn't have any left hand fold in stock and doesn't know when he will get any. Guess I will copy SGT. Raven's set up.
  9. I 've never seen such a civilized disagreement on any forum in my life. I commend you both for being adults. Tortis
  10. Sgt. Is there much movement when it is locked open? Thanks. Tortis
  11. I am trying to figure out if I want a collapsable, or a folding stock. How much shorter, and longer is a collapsable stock compared the the factory stock?, I'm not really sold on the folding stock, but might go that route for the ease of use inside the vehicle. I've been flip flopping on this for a month. Thanks, Tortis
  12. With Tula ammo I was getting 2.5'' groups at 100yds with my Saiga in .223 with a 3x9 scope. This three shot group is with 45gr soft point that I reloaded with IMR 4198 with Wolf primers. Not the best powder for this bullet, but I have a lot of both. This group was shot with blowing winds from a bench.
  13. I carry a Glock everywhere I go that is legal to carry it, I have my permit. I also carry the Saiga in the vehicle everyday. Well, I put a gun rack in my boat so I can carry my Saiga while fishing. My wife and kids have started calling me "Bertbo'' after Rambo, Bert is my name by the way. Any other crazies out there? Bertbo
  14. Somebody mess with your sights? An additional 3'' is crazy.
  15. Thanks for the links Dude. I look up some of his stuff. I love shooting and reloading helps save some cash and better groups. Tortis
