I see people saying gun related crime has gone up in recent years from 11/100k to 12/100k, any info disproving or at least explaining that factoid?
Only a slight uptick from 2015-2017
35 year a 42% decline in murder and all violent crime.

Now keep in mind this article was written before Obama had the FBI change the definition of mass shooting from 4 to 3.
Now in this FBI analysis of mass shootings, they actually admit that the change in definition added the 40% increase to the stats.

Walther colt 22. They're excellent. I have thousands of rounds through mine. It will cycle everything. I've even had it cycle four rounds of the cobri while fresh cleaned and suppressed.

No doubt Lanza was a wack job, but this article only references other articles it punlisted with no link to the "1500 pages of FBI Intel"..
It all links to a single two paragraph article about him possibly having attempted hackin the fbi website.

I bought one myself and was impressed by it for the price. I put 20 rounds of 00 buck, about 10 round of federal express long range turkey loads through it, which all cycled fine. Provided I kept a firm shoulder. I also tried estate and it didn't even move the bolt.
Since then I've completely broke down, throughly cleaned and sanded all the drag areas. As well as rounded those sharp corners on the mag (probably the biggest annoyance so far). I'll try some low brass again soon though probably not estate.

It's an easy thing to dismiss, but for the quickest and best results in recovery do NOT neglect nutrition. Cartilage, protein, amino acids, calcium.. all the building blocks of bones muscle and connective tissue. Better to EAT them from natural sources than supplement them. Good luck, get well soon.

I do a 25 yard zero, and I'm back on zero at 200 yards with wolf FMJ. I'm not sure the chrono on that round but it's what I have the most of.

If you think universal background checks will accomplish little to nothing then you don't understand what it is actually meant to accomplish.
It is meant to close the "loophole" that allows people to buy and sell guns without government knowledge. UBC gives the government the registration database that they need to accomplish their long term goals.
Waiting periods accomplish nothing. They are just a silly distraction meant to appease the weak-minded.
For clarity, little or nothing good. Trust me, I know what the goal is.
This is why I've considered the idea of simply including an disclaimer such as "PROHIBITED" on DL's or ID's... when an individual has been adjudicated as ineligible to own a firearm. We do it for minors so that store clerks can see at a glance they're too young to purchase liquor.. it would also mean that in the event it was necessary for armed citizen action in the context of which the 2nd Amendment was written, there would be no true barrier to preventing private sale...
Ultimately the universal background check is just a stepping stone to achieve universal registration.

We all agree that crazy people should not have guns.
Back ground checks will never stop them.
I have a vet freind who is breaking down mentally. He will not get help, he cannot keep a job, his wife ended their marriage but lets him stay at the house. He is in a different world and at times in anger talks about shooting his wife. He came to me the other day asking to borrow money. I bought his guns with out a background check but because he has not been diagnosed as mentally Ill he can get all the guns he wants.
Evene if they are diagnosed mentally ill they can still lie on the application and most of the time the diagnosis does not get into the loop.
Obama Care was supposed to link all this up.
The problem was as always had been, they lump arbitrary power in to decide what is "mentally defunct" instead of simply including only officially adjudicated individuals.

does this apply to a one point sling as well? or just an attached device primarily made for said firearm?
edit to clarify -
as in i attach my carry pistol to a leather strap on my belt so as to create a solid "pull point" type of stock...
or is that still illegal?
I don't think I've ever heard of a sling attached to a pistol being illegal. Ridiculous maybe, illegal no.

With the double hook trigger the right side (as if you were shooting it) needs the corner cut off. If you notice the left side of the trigger cut out there is a notch to allow the trigger to clear..the bottom right side of the trigger hook should be cut at 45 degree to compensate for the lack of a relief cut. I'm having trouble uploading a picture so instead hers a link to a picture. Hope it helps.

OK, update on the pistol.
It still has a hold over of 1"at 3 yards, 2"at 5 yards and 2.5" @ 10 yards. (Maybe this is acceptable to some) BUT the front and rear sight dovetail are completely proprietary. So you either accept what it is our don't buy it.
Also,the grip bushings are staked a little too deep. Seems the starter thread on one of the grip screws was too deep and galled the screw. When I tried to remove the screw the head snapped off. They will fix it for free, but refuse to pay shipping. Because I used Safariland break free which MELTED the grips, and had I not used that, I wouldn't have had to remove the grips and the screw wouldn't have broke... not shit, I'm not kidding.
They DID say they would either send more screws and grips for free, and I could fix myself.
