  1. If it helps I absolutely LOVE my Para Tac 4. Cant beat 13+1 in .45 ACP and the LDA trigger is the best IMO. I can't wait to get my next Para in 9mm GLWS
  2. I logged in specifically to post about my expierence with Hornady Ammo on Thursday. However in regards to your post, I can offer some advice as well. I was having a problem with light primer strikes using a Tapco G2 trigger/hammer/spring combo. In the end I swapped the original stock spring in with some extra bend to line up with the Tapco trigger and I haven't had a problem since. On to my Ammo review. I used some Hornady 165 gr GMX on Thursday to sight in my rifle (was hog hunting) I was able to get 3 shot groups in the 1-1.25 inch range with this ammo at 125 yards. I was r
  3. I just received my Millett DMS-1 and it looks to be pretty awesome so far. I havent gotten out to shoot it but heres a quick run down of specs. 1-4x 25mmObj 30mmTube Donut-Dot Fully Coated 3.5"
  4. I have their non folding non recoil reducing stock and I love it. Very sturdy well made product. They have a couple of Higher End Folding stocks available as well. http://www.themakogroup.com/category_s/55.htm?searching=Y&sort=13&cat=55&show=10&page=2 But I couldnt justify paying $300+ for a SHTF stock. If I was going into battle I wouldn't hesitate though.
  5. I run Steel cased Tula through my .45 and my .380 pistols without a problem. Can't find it locally in .308 otherwise I would pick some up.
  6. Well I finally got out to shoot the rifle for the second time since I have owned it. I replaced the JTE spring with the factory spring and it did what I was hoping it would. Same Silver Bear SP ammo shot fine with no light primer strikes. I didnt have to bend one arm of the spring as the action was causing it to move around and jammed up the trigger once. Simple field modification on the leg and it shot the next 70 rounds perfect... I love shooting this rifle now
  7. Ahhhh ... Learned something new today. Thank you good sir!
  8. I never seen a gun get a TAT before. Do you mean Die and Tap?
  9. I bought my 308 with a 5/8x24 threaded barrel.. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/68301-wts-fully-converted-saiga-308-w-21-barrel/ You might be able to PM the seller and see if he has some info for you.
  10. Tiny What sight is that in your avatar? If you have a link that would be great as well... Adjusting the front sights on these things is nearly impossible Thanks,
  11. My newly aquired 308 won't shoot silver bear consistently. It is due to light primer strikes though and I don't think it has anything to do with the ammo. Sometimes itll shoot 2 or 3 rounds sometimes it wont go bang at all!
  12. I ask because I am/was getting light primer strikes with it. I went ahead and put the stocker back in and plan to take it out and fire off some more to test. Seems like the hammer is hitting harder when I dry fire it.
  13. I have a question about Hammer Spring tension weight on the Stock vs JTE hammer spring. I just read that the JTE spring is adjustable by slightly bending the center saddle but was wondering if anyone had some hard numbers about how much tension each of these springs has.
  14. Not sure which is the bigger tool. You or the firearms....
  15. I am happy to report that Redwood and I were able to come to a deal and I will be the proud new owner of this rifle. Im excited to be part of the Saiga Family!!!
