  1. It's possible, it just takes a lot of time and patience if you're grinding down the clamps by hand. I've almost got mine grounded down enough as it sits about an inch forward on the barrel away from the receiver. I used this guys project/pictures as a reference that it could be done on a s308 before I went ahead and bought the handguard. He also stated that they will sell the clamp separately if you call, so if you mess up you can start over haha.
  2. Ah thats really nice, I might have to switch to that handguard, I haven't finished modifying the Midwest industries handguard on mine, it's a pain grinding down the mount to fit our bigger 308 barrels. Yeah it's the ace clamp-on. It's a nice solid piece but if if you buy directly from ace, AKA riflestocks.com it takes a long time to get it; think I waited almost 2 months till it arrived.
  3. Nice rifle, your plans sound great. How is the handguard mounted? I've got some of the same parts, like the griffin comp and stock. Mine isnt finished either, but heres a pic. Looking forward to seeing your progress
  4. Had this screen name a long time ago on a car forum. Mazda RX7s have rotary engines as opposed to piston engines, but I and a small minority of rx7 enthusiasts swapped the rotary engines out for Ls1 V8s, and various other engines. So, NoRotor, for no rotary engine
  5. Looks nice, would I be able to use an Ace clamp-on front-sight with that?
