  1. Im looking for some AKM styled wooden upper and lower handguard goodness, and trying to see if I can find american mades ones first. the only ones Ive found so far are: http://www.soviet-military.com/product/soviet-russian-military-ak-topbottom-wooden-authentic-sm-44-275 I'd prefer to get a set that comes with a vented gas tube, but if not, I'll buy that separately. my big complaint is trying to match them to the stock, but I understand that I may need to strip and refinish the stock and the hand guards to get a desirable matching color instead. this is the stock I have:
  2. noob question, but I left these out of my conversion 7.62. are they sized differently? if not, I'll sell u mine, its useless to me, lol.
  3. the only reason I want to do a BHO (probably with the safety lever mod) is because the best range in my area, that I know of at least, is a bunch of nazies about them. and for the handguard, I dont like the look of the saiga synthetic handguard, I want to get a wood one and bolt in a vertical grip. I think it needs a little more wood to balance it out.
  4. finally converted my baby. too much talk, not enough action. wasr dragunov style stock. Dinzag custom Tapco G2 FCG/hammer (also got rid of BHO lever, going to mod the safety lever to hold the bolt in open position) and will soon be adding a bullet guide so that I can use surplus AK mags. now to find a new front handguard with mounts for a folding front grip.
  5. I AM looking for a way to get rid of him, to get a siberian husky. however, as much fun as it is to shoot him, I may just ship him off to grandma when I move hopefully this week, then its husky time!
  6. I mounted belomo POSP today, 4x24 400 m. And then my cat stole it.
  7. so if I were to just order the tromix FCG and the tapco screw set, what would I have to do/not do to the existing trigger guard to make this work correctly? (other than bending it out of shape, obviously), my question is if I have to do any part of the conversion differently, and is there any inherent benefit in buying a new triggerguard? Thanks
  8. hey guys, Im pumped up, ordering the parts for my saiga 7.62 x 39 conversion, but now I am stumped on a few parts. more or less, Im trying to decide which route is the best to go with certain parts, and if I need to do anything different for my conversion. I ordered this stock so am I wrong in assuming that I would not need to get the tapco pistol grip screw and bushing in this case? also, the 3 suppliers I am looking at for the parts I want, but cant decide on going with: MAA: I have chosen the Tromix Saiga FCG the RAM saiga bolt-on trigger guard and the TAPCO screw
  9. Try page 2. and now I feel like an idiot.. thank you sir.
  10. yup, checked already, just the modern "sporterized" style
  11. Prewarning: I know this is my first post here, but I have done a lot of reading/lurking, just not very much contributing yet, and hope to change that soon. Im getting ready to do the conversion on my saiga, just ordered a decent POSP scope as well. Now the hard part. I saw a guy at a local range shooting a norinco AK with wooden dragunov buttstock, so I know they exist. He let me try his out, while he tried my saiga, and the dragunov wood stock felt perfect. however, I have spent the last 3 days searching for them and have not found a SINGLE one online, other than battlerifleg3, wh
