  1. Im big on nerdy shit like this. If anyone wants to email me the serial number of their gun and a summary of anything different about their particular shotgun ill start a catalogue and post any notable trends. Reverendfranz@ g mail dot com That would all be anon of course
  2. I love the agp mags in mine, even without lrbho. I looked at modding the follower, but i think the only good way to do that is the machine the entire inside rear of the mag and use a longer, taller, follower. Metal tabs and the like are going to be finicky. Just doesnt seem to be worth it right now. My saiga shoots fine with out lrbho, and now i have more options with my vepr, so im a happy camper. If anyone needs some handholding ive got some pics and a tutorial up on the -other- forum
  3. Very nice pictures, thank you for posting, you probably own the dream gun of everyone here.
  4. I weep for tgi, who will likely never offer a lifetime warrantee, or give out their email address ever again.
  5. Meanwhile, if you are waiting and happen to have any AGP mags laying around, you can use those. I am quite happy with my V12 and its 10 round mags. The bonus 12rd (i heard it was 12, though i would prefer 10 round) SGM mag from atlantic will just be icing on the cake
  6. it should be the rpk sidefolding trunnion. much less work to install than the ak100.
  7. Confirmation bias, he said he didnt like before he even saw it, one wonders why he made the preorder
  8. ^This. All the Vepr's have one. Welcome to the finer side of AKs
  9. I think you are inherently going to see less varience with the Molot shotguns than the Izhmash shotguns, simply due to the barrel. The majority of the issues we have seen in the past with the Saiga 12 is due to the variences in the thickness of the barrel, one gas port one size is going to function differently in a barrel with a different wall thickness. From what I understand, Molot has a better system for barrel manufacturing, and we should see much more consistancy. I do not have a CSS brake, but i can say that loose hip firing had no effect today on the cycling of low brass value pack
  10. You already talked about extending the feed lips, but one thing to think of when making a new mag - If you plan on using the same parts on magwell guns later, be sure to have the follower rise all the way to the top of the mag, as its needed for magwell LRBO function. It isnt needed for non magwell guns, but it doesnt hurt either, and is one less thing you will need to think about later. Ill buy them either way, but think this is another way you can show quality of design in bringing THE most requested AK Shotgun part in the history of this forum. Just my thoughts, though. (you know i real
  11. i do, and i also would like you to have one. all we need is an enterprising vendor to take me up
  12. Ill just say, rubber recoil buffers have no place in an AK. either the AK works, or you fix it. like a band-aid on a knife wound, a buffer does nothing to solve the underlying problem, except later fail, and make things worse than they were to begin with

  14. because your government hates you, there is no fault on the part of the importer or molot. We already paid extra, likely, to have the rail on the fsb milled off, but by all means, if you also want to pay more to have the fantastic folding mechanism installed, and then have it welded over and made useless, by all means, go for it. Personally, i think sgm did a great job in ordering the cheapest toss away stock they could order. I have another plan to fix that part, and a couple other of the parts my government, not sgm or molot screwed me out of.
  15. cope said their preorder included ten units. And they were only offered those recently. I wouldnt panic yet, you are still special. the more the merrier, i say
  16. The manuals translation is pretty bad, funny in a few places. Why did they glue the exploded view of the VEPR in the middle of the manual on a random page lol? Because they use the same manual for each model, and we are the only fools to get stuck with this model, they didnt want to tease us with an exploded diagram of a normal v12
  17. if i recall, the original magazine for the first magwell guns was modded rock and locks. then izhmash made some dedicated mags and molot followed some time later. they will all work. I modded an AGP mag today, im not one hundred percent happy with it, but it definitely locks up and feeds. I did that in a short amount of time with nothing more than a rasp, just to see how it worked. No major concerns.
  18. Its not so much a date thing as it is a barrel design thing. Steel shot was made mandatory around nineteen ninety, so almost any shotgun made in the us after that is pretty much gauranteed to handle steel shot just fine. Most shotguns before that date are also fine, though there are still some double barrels made today that you should not use steel shot in. The concern is that steel shot does not compress, so it will deform, or spring, barrels with tight chokes, anything without a fixed choke should be fine. (and dont add a tight choke if you are shooting steel shot)
  19. lol, hundreds shipped, ONE has a fte problem that hasnt even determined to be manufacturing error. could be ammo or operator error. You know everyone with problems will immediately post, but nine out of ten people with a working happy shotgun, would rather shoot it, than participate in some poll, or post on a forum. Ill let you know when i pick up mine. Odds and experience tell me it will be fine.
