  1. Good job! You can't shoot those filthy things fast enough.
  2. I'm pleasantly surprised too. Apparently people on this board (unlike so many others on the net) understand that a well placed 223 will kill better than a misplaced 3,000,000 Super-D-Duper Magnum. Its all about shot placement and bullet selection.
  3. I've been in law enforcement for 23 years. I have other means for dealing with those kinds of people. Yep, I'll keep it on the rifle. I'm finally clear on how this thing works. Thanks!
  4. Thanks everyone for your input! Okay, here is the deal. I wanted a converted Saiga for the enhanced trigger. I'm really not too concerned about hi-cap mags. I just want to be able to pop a surly coyote from time to time. If I remove the Bulgarian bullet guide from this rifle, would it accept Surefire magazines like an unmodified Saiga? Thanks again.
  5. Hey all, Although I have owned several Saiga rifles, I just purchased my first converted gun tonight. It comes complete with the bullet guide. I have spent a couple hours reading (yep, used the search function) about magazine options for this rifle, and I'm pretty dang confused. Are there any magazines that can be used without modification? Grinding my rifle and mags is not my idea of a good time. I think I may be good to go with Bulgarian waffle mags, correct?
  6. I would like to trade three, used, ten round Saiga 7.62X39 mags for a SGM Tactical (Surefire) mag. I would prefer a 20 round mag if possible. Thanks.
  7. There is absolutely no way this rifle is still for sale, right? If so, could you email me at jonhooper@yahoo.com?

  8. What Lonerider said! I have two Hi Points (40cal and 9mm) and have never had one problem with either one. Both digest whatever ammo I happen to have on hand, are accurate and come with a lifetime warranty. My 9mm wears the ATI stock and is my favorite rifle, even more so than my Colt AR-15.
  9. Thank you sir. I'm such an idjit. I posted here and went back to the rifle and found that third pesky screw. Geeze.
  10. Okay, I have a new Saiga and I want to remove sporting stock to put on a factory skeleton stock. Is the sporting stock just held on by the two screws (one on top, one on bottom) or is there an internal stock bolt too? This stock is one tight critter.
  11. My Saiga is .223, but I do believe that skeleton stock will fit nicely on it. I'll take the stock. PM sent.
