I believe with many of these police events the political climate is as much to blame as the officers themselves. When we have a persistent atmosphere of the have-nots blaming the haves, and an administration that only wishes to fan the fire, its somewhat easy to see how a few cops can get stressed out and make some bad decisions. You have to keep in mind that being 2nd to Walmart is like comparing a Piper Cub to a 747. It's not a huge shock that they're not a household name across the country. However... You can bet #1-5 are watching what Kroger is doing and all of those probably are household names in aggregate.

Actually according to what one of the Commissioners stated (after the onslaught and with a very looong face LOL) was all the calls about Tannerite. Many of us there who run in gun circles though knew the real reason was originally they started a long time ago trying to shut down an outdoor public range down there called Drake's Landing. For the most part their actual shooting reactions are the same as most first timers.. I doubt I looked or felt much different. And... like most first timers that are scared of guns they came away from the experience with a softened opinion on the "evil" guns. Overall they're probably all going to continue to be douche bag zombies but I didn't think video was all that terrible and they even "converted" one person.. If we could all stomach to take a lib shooting (I would and have) we would get a 20% swing our way based on their result!

Kroger is something like the #2 grocery retailer in the country. Not every area has them, but they are a huge company. I personally don't shop there because the prices are often terrible but I do like seeing that they're letting their customers police themselves. I may become a shopper of their more often when I notice a good sale ad on a few items... It's worth a little extra gas to help support them and I may send them an email to that effect.

If you actually listen to that interview he isn't so bad... I even watched the video that claims that he agrees with Michael Moore and didn't leave with that impression.

I was recently dragged off to the movie (I hate going to the movies but I got free tickets) and decided to read up on the theater we went to... It was a Carmike Cinema and they are hugely anti-gun at the corporate level from what I could tell online. When I got to the theater I didn't notice a single sign on any of the doors or anything else so I don't know if each location has their own policy or what. I will say that we were the only 2 people in the entire theater for a 6:45 Friday night show. Maybe they need all of the business they can get these days! Sooo... I'm on the fence on Carmik
