I dig the new rail but not sure if camera isn't doing the rest of the rifle justice but looks like a few different color desert tans on that rifle.

I had the same problem but I had used washers to attach the new CSS triger guard(I did not like how the screw did not flush up and the threads were showning on the bottom). My problem was the washers were keeping the hammer face up to high and not allowing the bolt to pass over.

Conversion is complete, my buddy that is familiar with converting helped me out big time. No issues at all. I love the feel of the rifle now it is such a difference, I plan on hitting the range this upcoming weekend. Here are some pictures of my rifle since I purchased it in April.

After all the months of contemplating a conversion I finally ordered via CSS today. I plan on watching videos to aide but I plan on using you guys if I need some help.

regular pipe cutter...on back it says for metals

So I went to lowes and purchased a pipe cutter. I wanted to check and see if it is possibly threaded underneath before I purchase the tap. Problem is I am having a hard time keeping the pipe cutter straight on the barrel while turning. Really seems like the barrel is only barely being scored and it will not cut through. Am I missing something here or did I just buy a piece of crap?

I too have the same questions as original post. What will he full conversion offer me that I cant get with a non converted pistol grip and stock? That has been my main hangup from doing a conversion.

Picked up my saiga 762 three weeks ago , added utg side mount, ace sleteton stock and some 30rd mags on the way.
