  1. 1000 rds 7.62x39 123 gr... http://www.luckygunner.com/7-62x39-123-gr-fmj-wolf-white-generic-1000-rounds?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_campaign=96735bd124-4%2F15%2F14-NL-4%3A45pm&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_80d206af41-96735bd124-289726786&mc_cid=96735bd124&mc_eid=857628a9b5
  2. I found a good deal on 7.62x39 FMJ today... cheapest I've seen in a while. Not sure how much they have but I ordered 1K this morning and it was sipped this afternoon, http://www.venturamunitions.com/lcb-7-62x39mm-123gr-fmj-new-ammo-1000-rounds/
  3. Interesting set up. That lower spring stumps me, but I'm no expert. I have done a conversion on a 7.62x39 Saiga, but I don't remember anything like that. Is your rifle a EAA Pap by chance, and not a Saiga? like this: http://www.tactical-life.com/online/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pap-large1.jpg Hopefully some one here will offer you some help.
  4. Great communication and transaction with super quick shipping. Thanks, Lone Eagle!
  5. A friend has a brand new never fired SKS and wants to use 20 or 30 round mags. I know to make it 922r legal with hi-cap mags a conversion is required. Has anyone here done that? What parts are the easiest to replace and at the least cost. It looks like a stock, hand guard, and US mag will make 4 parts. Can you advise if the full trigger group can be replaced with a US made set? From what I've read the parts count is a little iffy... some say 4 US parts are required and then others say 6. His rifle is Chinese (Norinco), so I think only 4 parts are required to be compliant. I've
  6. Now retired after 45 years of hard work. I retired as the Engineering & Estimating manager for a major material handling equipment manufacturer. Before that I was a machinist and the plant supervisor for the same company.
  7. Carolina Shooters Supply has most if not all of that. You can reuse the OEM trigger guard with a little work, if you don 't want to spend money on a new one. Good luck, and have fun with the conversion. And, welcome to the site from Colorado!
  8. "Someone" could have used this on him, and no one would ever detect it. A CIA "secret weapon" used for assassination shoots a small poison dart to cause a heart attack .... [ Obama himself has already told us he can assassinate anyone, any time, any place in the world... are we really so naive that he can openly say it and we believe they won't do it?
  9. 02/27/12 Update: Cabela's has 7.62x39 ammo at $4.49 again, FMJ, SP, and HP. I bought some earlier and finally got to shoot all types in my rifle. They all shot very well, no misfires, no FTE, and all pretty accurate. I couldn't tell any major difference in the thee types. They also have a $5 shipping promo code. I haven't looked yet for a free shipping code, there may be one ...???
  10. ... If the mags are US made. As I see it: 1. The bullet guide is not considered (not on the list) 2. The pistol grip is not considered (not being "replaced", the Saiga had none) On the Jobson auto check list, click on Saiga rifle, then click on the "Origin" drop down menus only. You'll see the count number decrease from 14 to whatever you have to meet 922r. You need 10 maximum to meet 922r. Unless you are using US mags, you still have 13 foreign parts. The US mags bring it down to 10 foreign parts, and therefore 922r legal.
  11. I ordered a new Taurus 24/7 OSS DS 45acp last week and if Bud's ever gets off their butt and ships it, I may get it next week. It's been in shipping for the last 3 days.
  12. Taurus 24/7 OSS DS .45ACP. I ordered it from Bud's Gun Shop and should get it next week. I've got a box of Federal 230Gr ammo ready to go to the range, and I've ordered a Blackhawk Serpa Paddle/Belt type tactical holster #410514-L (left hand draw). I'm stoked and ready to start firing some rounds through it. Borrowed photos: http://people.consol...urus/3Serpa.JPG http://www.hunt101.c...SS_45_RH_MB.jpg
  13. Or... just buy a $6-7$ Magpul rail (eBay, or Amazon) and drill two holes on the handguard bottom and mount the rail for a bipod, flashlight, laser, or a hand grip.
