  1. That is what is on my rifle in the picture, the US Palm upper and a PA micro. It is cooler than an Ultimak and you are correct, for just a little more you get a quad rail and an optic mount. You also can remove the upper rail by taking out 4 screws and mine has returned to zero after taking the upper rail off.
  2. I like the Ultimak too, but you can co witness with this and you end up with a quad rail.
  3. Here is a thing I worked up and posted over on Gunboards to shorten the Tapco AK74 magazine. I have been using these two mags for some time now with no problems. Tapco AK74 Mag Tutorial
  4. I wrote Troy at Midwest Industries about maybe making a rail for the .308 Saiga. It would require a new mounting block for the thicker barrel of the .308. This is not as expensive as redesigning the entire rail, but is still an expensive thing for MI to do unless they can sell enough rails. I told Troy that I would post his email address on a few boards that I read and let you guys tell him if this is something you would like to see or not. If you are interested in this email him at troy@midwestindustriesinc.com and let him know. It would be nice to have this as an option for the .308 Sai
  5. The Ultimak for the .308 would be great as would the MI quad rail with the new US Palm upper for the micro if they would adapt it for the .308. The mount shown above looks nice too, but it will be around $300.
  6. It will not fit without a lot of dremel work. I have adapted a Yugo version of the UTG quad rail to my .308, but it took a lot of dremel work on it as well.
  7. Yes, I have the newest DPH style rail along with the older one that uses the rear sight base and replaces the rear sight. Actually I have two of these rails; one on a Romanian G kit I build and another on a Romanian Par I converted to semi auto and made a Beryl clone out of. They both allow the use of irons with an EoTech and an Aimpoint with any of several mounts I have. I guess it must be the rings you have or perhaps the rear sight is different??? Do you have the rear sight at its lowest setting? If I moved mine up much for an elevation change it wouldn't work either. I have a .308 Si
  8. With this mount and an EoTech/Magnifier I have complete use of my irons.

    Saiga 308 Idea

Will the Sampson rail fit the .308?
  10. *No parts kits available *The receiver is very different from a standard AK receiver *The S12 is really a pretty inexpensive shotgun, so building one would probably not be any cheaper
  11. Will this fold to the right or just to the left?
  12. I have one on my .308, but it does need to be modified to work. The barrel is larger on the .308 and will require you to enlarge the metal handguard/clamp to match the larger barrel. Also, the screw that makes everything clamp will not fit on top of the barrel anymore and will require you to file out a small chanel like you would find on a standard ak with a normal handguard retainer. Once I was satisfied that mine fit properly, I put the handguard on and then marked the spot where the screw that forms the clamp would hit the top of the barrel. I used a chainsaw file to make the little cut.
