It seems like its best to wait for the complete package now instead of upgrading. That way I can keep my original for a spare or outright sell it to offset the cost. Interesting. I have one of the very first batch of MKA 1919's in the country. Cool Jewels, out of spec rail and all. Jim did a conversion for me and as a follow up did the feed lips. Well I now have one with the same crack. I have one of the early guns and had the same issue after a couple hundred rounds and clyde sent me a new one. I just cleaned mine and put in a new Firebird spring and found it. I have pics but they all look alike.

Last year I tried the 3GunGear holders for M1A which was a leg rig simlar to that in the way the body of the OEM mag was the only part being held. First time I tried them the top heavy weight slung them out when I started running from box to box. I hope you have better luck. I am using a cheap vestman vest leg rig and no issues. BUT it only holds 2. Im curious if this works out for you. For the matches I shoot thats plenty. Are those 18 round mags? Is the LRBHO functional?

I made that claim about a year ago on this forum. I had the rain of hell come down from fanboys. I cant say I was supprised. It is after all a saiga forum. I no longer have a S12. I wont say they are not good guns but for gun games the Akdal is hands down better. More upside and ergos are better. I have not really posted much at all since. I dont think Firebird is selling parts to individuals at this time. Two reasons. One he only has so many at this point and they are dedicated for full blown race guns. And two he is having issues with some of the parts he HAS sold to people by them calling him because they cant put them on without calling him numerous times. Cant say I blame him. Im bet he will start selling them again when he has more inventory and Im in no way trying to speak for him. Call to ask but dont be insulted if he wont sell them as stand alone parts for now.

Seriously. Do some reading of older threads here, use the search function. Please. No insult ment but its not that hard and you will find more in depth info by looking yourself. Edit one more time that I have been looking for many months for a definative awnser and no clear one seems available to our antigun ATF. If I have failed to find the CORRECT ruling I hope someone will chime in. Seems like the only viable awnser is to replace as many as you can to cover your ass.

WHY? I think you may be forgeting this shotgun is in no way a direct impingement system like the AR.

FYI for those looking for mag carriers. The Ready Tactical M1A/FAL fits. CKD carries them but they are out of stock and I currently have 2 more on back order. I ordered a Bladetech from Brownells but it did not fit and was sent back. I'm told that safari land makes one but the only one they offer now requires buying their modular belt system. I don't know if it fits or can be adapted to use a regular tek lok type belt attachment. Anyone else have info on ones that work, kydex type please let me know

I always fail to see the point of the mall ninja door breaching muzzle attachments. If its a issue of form following function so be it. Its kind of like people who INSIST on having a bayo lug on a AR.

I have both, and if I had to choose one it would be the 1919. Hi cap mags are comming way, way faster than they did with the s12, and if your making the investment, you have at least $150 in crap to buy for the S12 to get it "restored" to what the 1919 already is. The 1919 has drop free mags, better safety on/off, and top rail where a top rail belongs (optics on the S12 is difficult - not impossible, but difficult) So if mags are due in march, your talkin 30 days before you have a gun that will take you 30 days to make the Saiga.
