Anyone going to the SAR Show in Phoenix this weekend?
dmac27 replied to K-VarCustomerService's topic in Saiga 5.45
I will be there. -
I put mine back in on my 7.62 and then left it out of my 5.45. I like them much better with out so I ended up taking it out of my 7.62. I almost never shoot at a range and it bothered my trigger finger.

Looks like prices might come down on Saiga's in the near future???

That's what I was thinking...although they do also make a 30.06 bolt action. I hope that is not what they were referring to. -
That is the real thing... an East German AK-74 zig zag muzzle brake. Did you install a thread adapter on that rifle? Well, yes, of course . I had the barrel threaded to 14x1 LH and I installed a 14 to 1 LH to a 24 mm adapter because the zig zag brake is a 24 mm thread . Looks good...who makes the muzzle brake you have installed there?

Thank you

Should the 5.45 have an 800 meter rear sight or a 1000 meter rear sight?

Adding a wood handguard questions

Could you please post an example link of what it is that I need to get? Try Saiga-AK.com I bought one of his retainers for my first conversion and it fits as tight as a factory retainer. -

+1 This is the easiest way to go. If you want an actual hand guard retainer you have to remove the front sight base and the gas block. -
I have tried a screw driver with no luck...perhaps I will try again.

Does anyone have one that would be willing to trace the outline of the tool and email it to me. I want to make my own tool out of O1 tool steel but am not sure of the size. My email address is mcn.donald@gmail.com
