  1. I put mine back in on my 7.62 and then left it out of my 5.45. I like them much better with out so I ended up taking it out of my 7.62. I almost never shoot at a range and it bothered my trigger finger.

  4. That is the real thing... an East German AK-74 zig zag muzzle brake. Did you install a thread adapter on that rifle? Well, yes, of course . I had the barrel threaded to 14x1 LH and I installed a 14 to 1 LH to a 24 mm adapter because the zig zag brake is a 24 mm thread . It didn't look like it was that wide in the back from the pictures you posted. And if I offended you with my question it was...of course... unintentional.   7. I love my steel Polish mags...I couldn't even imagine using a 45 round mag. I think they are too long...

  9. Could you please post an example link of what it is that I need to get? Try Saiga-AK.com I bought one of his retainers for my first conversion and it fits as tight as a factory retainer.
  10. +1 This is the easiest way to go. If you want an actual hand guard retainer you have to remove the front sight base and the gas block.
