  1. I was between the wasr, mak 90, and the saiga, and boy I am glad I went with the saiga and partially converted it for $120, I love it! Just get the saiga and be done with it, its a lot cheaper to just buy the right gun first and not have to buy 2 rifles.
  2. http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/saiga-pistol-grip-conversion-kit-w-tapco-ak-original-stock-p-945.html Can one of you guys tell me which options to check off on this?
  3. I know Batto I appreciate you and everyone here helping me out and I still really have not decided what to do, of course the idea of the gun being as close as I will ever get to a real ak is appealing. I was all set to have you help me with it and then looked up the conversion process here: http://www.cross-con...iga_Conversion/ and there is no way I have the amount of tools we need here to do it, I really just have basic homeowner stuff. I would need to get a vise and pretty much all the tools besides a dremel/drill and screwdrivers. I so want to order this $129 ACE kit and slap it on with a

  5. Vlad, why is that a huge step backwards? I assume you mean if I do the conversion the rifle will be better balanced with a nicer trigger feel. I admit the tapco intrafuse stock looks stupid, but the ace one I picked seems like it comes straight off the reciever. Really, being that this is my first gun and I have never tried the converted version, I kind of don't know what I'm missing I guess... the gun feels fine to me the way it is, I just really prefer the look of the ace stock and the pistol grip. I really dont want to hack it up and do a conversion, and even if I did, I dont have the ski
  6. Vlad, Am I 922R compliant and nj legal if I have these parts on an otherwise untouched saiga: This http://www.mississip...mbly-p-150.html And these: http://www.mississip...fire-p-356.html Oh and are mag couplers illegal?
  7. Actually I am getting pretty clear on the nj gun laws, I am allowed to have "A rifle that accepts detatchable magazines and any one of the following: bayonet lug, pistol grip, folding stock" so the pistol grip is ok by itself. I am having a harder time understanding the 922r honestly. Does a magazine count as usa made parts? if so I just add a usa made stock and I am down to the 10 parts i need to be compliant. If i use my stock mag is that then illegal tho? The rules really are rediculous. I bought the rifle legally at a local gun store in NJ so I am sure it is legal here in sporter configura
  8. Thanks Al that helps a lot, so I would actially have to pin the tapco t6 stock if i got it so it cannot adjust? seems really dumb but what gun law isnt dumb in NJ right? If that is the case I am really leaning toward conversion. Oh and btw they make 15 round mags for the nj saiga guys now so i dont need to neuter a 30 rd mag. beautiful gun you have there btw!
  9. Hi guys, I am new to guns and my first purchase was a saiga 7.62x39 carbine! I do unfortunately live in nazi germany cough cough I mean New Jersey, and I am having a hard time understanding our rediculous gun laws here. Nj law does not allow for mags over 15 rounds. I found 15 round mags made in usa that count as "3 compliance parts". Am I allowed to use these? I also would like to add the tapco t6 stock system which will add the pistol grip and I believe counts as 1 compliance part, am I allowed to? Please help me keep my gun legal and my butt out of jail!
