  1. I love it. I own two of them and I have never had a problem. I also have one of the promag 12 round compact drums and it works great too.
  2. The UTG rail is actually really good. I have the UTG pro which is made in America and it works great. It is a little more expensive but worth the extra money IMO. The long top rail is useless though because It wasn't very stable and I couldn't get any optics to hold zero. If you use the short rail it works perfectly and holds zero great.
  3. Not sure about a left side safety but here is a standard shotgun safety made by JT Engineering. Looks really nice http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/67307-new-safety-for-the-saiga-12-or-ak-platforms/
  4. No, the magpul CTR will fold flat and lock without removing the scope mount.
  5. The CSS internal adapter is designed to utilize screws through the old axis holes to secure it along with one screw/nut in the rear/top trunnion. No I DO NOT weld the old axis holes for the bare base $200.00 conversion package. You get one hell of a bang for the buck with this deal but it does not include welding/blending the old holes. The plugs are included in the CSS Conversion Package and that is clarified. Welding/blending/refinishing is an additional $35.00. I hope most people know the difference between plug and weld, nor would I intend to mislead anyone in that regard.
  6. I have a UTG on one of my saigas, The long top rail is useless because It would flex like crazy. The short one is rock solid and will not move. It is actually a great rail system (if you use the short top rail). You just have to be sure not to overtighten the part that clamps over your gas tube. I did this to begin with and I had cycling issues. loosend the screws abit and put locktight on em, now it cycle great. I will probably upgrade to a Chaos eventually though.
  7. Thanks. The reason he put the screws in was because I wanted an internal reciever block. I don't know if he welds them with the standard conversion or not.
  8. Yes, but I got a little more than what that covered so it was a little more. It is definately worth the money when you think about all of the work that it takes to do all this.
  9. This is a saiga 12 converted by Jack at JT Engineering. It will cycle anything reliably without a single FTF. I took it out over the weekend and shot nearly 500 rounds of Federal Bulk without any problems at all. The Quality of the work that Jack does is outstanding. The bolt has been modified for loading a full mag on a closed bolt and the gas ports have been aligned and corrected. also the gun has been modified where the mag goes in so that the mag will drop free when you push the Mag Release. Not having to reach up and pull the mag out makes reloads alot faster. All parts where purchased f

Now that is a cool looking saiga. Not sure about the magwell but you could talk to Jack at JT Engineering and he could probably tell you if it would work or not.

    Got any pics?
  12. I just used it as is. I have never taken it apart or messed with the spring tension.
  13. I have a promag 12 round compact drum and it is awesome. I have had very few FTE's with birdshot while using it and I think most of them were because the gun was getting really dirty. If the 20 is anything like the 12 it will probably be worth the money.
  14. I have 5 Surefire mags and love them. I normally shoot birdshot but I have shot several magnum rounds through it without a single problem. I actually plan on buying a few 8 round surefire mags. Eitherway you go, I'm sure both surefire and AGP will be good. IMO Also I purchase all my stuff from Carolina Shooters Supply. They have really good prices, amazingly fast shipping, and great customer service.
  15. That is an awesome shotgun. What kind of light and vertical grip is that?
