  1. Another alternative is to buy a new barrel. I can provide an proper import license from my atf.
  2. A piece of barrel, is just that. Not a gun part. I'm just needing three inches at the most. No chamber or pins to attach it to a frame, so it will show that it is deactivated. It may also have aditional holes to show that it will not be used in a gun .
  3. If you do, and have cutted the end of the barrel, would you sell that piece? I'm designing a new muzzle break with a polychoke, and need the threaded piece to check how it screws. Will send a free prototype once finished.
  4. I did the opposite. I first got the buffer tube. And after knowing that the only one I could get, was a mil spec one (29 millimeters diameter) then I bought a CTR with the 3/4" cheeck riser. Some advises... If you want to use the band sight or the iron sight, then with the stock as it comes, you need nothing else. If you install a fast fire style sight over the chamber, then you will need the lowest cheeck riser (1/4"). And if you place a scope over a floated picatinny rail, the the proper cheeck riser is the 3/4" one, like the one I use in my shotgun (see the attached pic).
  5. My Saiga has a C-More railway sight. It is a sight developed to be installed over an IPSC pistol, so over a shotgun will last forever, as it has less recoil. This is the way mine looks like with it.
  6. I have several of the named shotguns: Benelli Super 90 M1, Franchi Spas 15, USAS 12, Saiga 12K, and had a SPAS 12. The SPAS 12 is the worst piece of s_it I´ve ever had. The USAS 12 is a myth. Mine has the full auto selector, but weights a ton. If you want to shoot it in a normal way, the drum is touching your forearm all the time. The SPAS 15 is: heavy, very unconfortable while shooting. And if you must carry it for hours, is like carrying a V8. The Benelli is the jewell of the collection. You can bet it will never jam. It is light, well finished. But as I shoot IPSC, tubular fed shotguns
  7. My Saiga project, as it is today (not finished, yet). As I live in Argentina, I must pay two or three times the regular price on accesories, than what you do. This is a real Saiga 12K (not converted) UTG forend La Rue vertical grip (short one) Enidine recoil buffer tube Magpul CTR mil spec stock Magpul 3/4" cheek riser C-More railway red dot sight (8 MOA dot) Modified bolt. Next step is attaching the 50 BMG Barrett compensator, with a poly choke at the end. And the R&R Shroud barrel comp. It will also have a Hogue monogrip.
  8. Do mags need to be modified to fit the R&R mag well and mag release?. As the well has long side pannels, I asume they don´t use the mag front hook. Do they still use the rear one, or they lock with a side hook?. I will much appreciate if anyone may post some pics, so I can determine if it deserves the effort to bring it down here (Argentina). Thanks. Alberto

    Hogue monogrip

Thank you Chowderhead72 for your kind help. Yes, Pablo is the importer, but no one down here owns a Saiga or an AK47. So he doesn´t bring that grip. I already got one from a gunstore in South Florida who had in stock. So thank you once again for helping. Alberto
  10. I do have the Enidine, and my Saiga works perfect with it. Read THIS post
  11. My gunsmith is making a copy of a Barrett comp for my S12 But it will have a not vented Poly-Choke at the end. It will also have a double JP Enterprise shroud brake in the middle of the barrel. Will post some pics once finished

    Hogue monogrip

I retract every kind word I said about Hogue. 24 hours later that, I have received this email Subject: Hogue web order W113208 Date: Wed, 2 Jun 2010 16:28:50 -0700 From: Roni Smith <Roni@hogueinc.com> To: <ahart@arnet.com.ar> We are unable to process this order at this location, you can however contact our Hogue Europe location. Their email address is www.hogue.de. Your credit card has not been charged, and he order has been canceled. Thank you. Roni Smith Customer Service Rep Hogue Inc 800.438.4747 It is a F_ck_ng piece of rubber !!!
  13. I have been shooting IPSC in shotgun matches since 1991, with a Benelli 1 Super 90. It never jammed in all these years. So my Saiga 12K arrived to retire the Benelli from competitions, and now it returned to its original configuration. But my old Benelli will be there, always.

    Hogue monogrip

I was able to buy from Hogue´s website, as they incredibly accept international orders. So this shows what I stated in the original post: Gunstores say the laws do not allow them to sell overseas, and then the manufacturer of the same grip, accepts international orders. Please read these shipping policies, taken from the probably one of the biggest virtual gunstores in the US: There are a number of items which B....... sells which need US State Department approval and an export license before they can be shipped out of the country. The regulations are complex and constantly changing b

    Hogue monogrip

I need to buy a Hogue monogrip, in black color. Does anyone know who sells it, and that can send it to me (to Argentina) without believing they are sending a nuclear bomb?. Every gunstore in the US does not want to send anything, even a plastic grip. They didn´t read the regulations in details, and I have to pay for that. Limits are for "main gun parts" (barrels, bolts, and receivers), and for parts over $100. Parts over $100, require an export license, and that´s it. !!!!!. Thanks in advance. Alberto
