    Drum -ammo

Bummer, I got tons of Nobel
  2. does it lose its zero when you change the gas setting? Is it easier to change gas settings with this thing as opposed to the regular regulator?
  3. Does anybody make one that is easier to adjust?
  4. No issues in milling it....besides its so beefy in the areas I machined that I highly doubt there will be any issues. Still a heavy thing, but lighter now than a stock. You're right, I just took a look at mine and saw what you did. I weighed it too, 1.75 lbs!!!! My Halo also has 2 lugs on the bottom half for some reason. There's some added weight there also, did you mill yours off?
  5. The plunger is to clear a clog in the pipe (cylindrical looking thing sticking out the far end of the gun). If you get a clog, pump the plunger several times. It also helps keep the seat (that metal flap cover on the top of the gun) down.
  6. You are braver than I. The HALOs were cast, I'd be worried to remove any material.
  7. I thought I remembered Tony saying we should avoid them? Can't recall for sure though...
  8. I'd like one with a stop on the top (to keep it from sliding under the cover) and a bolt hold slot.
  9. What the heck are the Russians drinking over there? First they can't line up the gas holes, now they can't even measure the barrel length?
  10. Why not use a slug? aren't they immune to problems due to top round deformation?
  11. Why not just buy some nobel from SG, runs fine in mine.
  12. Why not just keep your bolt back using the BHO catch, and keep your mag loaded and seated? When the time comes, just release and chamber, it's even faster.
  13. I don't get it...what is it that you hate? Some of us don't even have one S-12 yet. Posts saying, "Such-and-such has a few S-12s for a reasonable price," tend to cause hoarding by people who already have one or several S-12s. I can't say I blame them for wanting another of a super rad gun, but it gets frustrating for those of us who have none yet. This is the dumbest thing I've ever read.

  16. And unless I'm a zombie, they are un vapor because I got 100 rds of it in my safe as of today We'll see how it shoots though... I agree on a smaller ball and more pellets. maybe even a cowbell.

  18. My shark brake is covered with a film of plastic from the wads, how do you guys remove this stuff?
  19. What do you guys think of this ammo? One .65" "slug" with six #1 pellets? Sounds like a good idea to me!
  20. Yeah, I had the same amount of crud (wad debris?) in mine too.
  21. Thanks Tony, and thanks again for the great gun, I'm really impressed (I ordered the S05 w/ shark brake recently sent to San Antonio). I took out the regulator and I can see all 4 ports, but the manifold is slightly canted such that if you were to hypothetically section the gas tube and could look top down, the right (starboard) hole is ~30% blocked from your view by the 3/8" hole. Because the way the hole is cut though, it would only be blocked from your view, the port isn't really choked by the manifold and the path of the gas from that port is still free to enter the tube (although it might
