  1. can you work a drill? don't get me wrong.. if you are doing something elaborate (short barrel shotgun) or something like that.. that requires moving the gas system.. then yeah.. I think a reputable smith IS the way to go...but for a simple restoration (putting a pistol grip on it) you should be able to easily do it (with the help of this forum) providing of course you can use a drill.. and own a handful of hand tools.. well i might check it out but at the current time being i dont feel comfortable enough to start drilling into my 700 dollar purchase, its just my personal opinion

  4. Hello everybody, I have just recently purchased a saiga 12 and i am looking to get it converted. However being new to saiga 12's i have a few questions that hopefully you guys can help me out on. 1. Any recommended places for conversion?(currenly have my eyes set on tromix) 2. I am a little confused as to what converting does to the fire rate, full auto? Semi? 3. If converting does convert to full auto would tromix's #S19 being full auto? 4. If the average conversion does not cnvert to full auto how would i go about getting that done?
  5. so ive heard adjusting your air plug allows you to shoot cheaper shells such as the universal shells at wal mart, if this is true what position should i adjust it too to do this?
  6. so he wants both of to go through a local FFL dealer and he would pay the dealer for the transfer cost? So basically going through a third party to make it legal?
  7. I have recently found a guy online willing to sell me his saiga 12 for a decent price. I have never done a deal outside of a registered shop before so i guess i would like to know what is required so i am not only the legal owner of this gun but also that i dont end up giving this guy possibly harming personal info. He stated in our conversation that he would cover the cost of the FFL transfer. Ive heard of the FFL form but i never knew it could be used outside a registered FFL dealer but i guess thats why i am asking i am very new with dealing with personal sellers and not directly with gun s
  8. does anbody know anything about if the federal universal shells sold at wal mart will work? i usually stay away from the winchester universals at wal mart, but will the federal universals work?
  9. Ive been looking around at a few gunshops as well as online and i cant seem to find a saiga anywhere around the price of 650. Just looking for 19" basic saiga 12 and i cant seem to find it, im a little new to ordering guns online so i guess i would rather do a deal in person face to face, i live in northwestern wisconsin. so some advice would greatly help and also some explaination as to ordering guns online or maybe a trusted website where i could find a saiga for cheap.
