  1. Happy Thanksgiving! My brother is back from Afghanistan and brought home some cool patches made by the locals. My personal favorite is Hello Kitty with an AK

    AR Pistol

Nice! Careful though, once you build one it's hard to stop. There should be an AR builder's support group...
  4. I'm mixed on this one. If I was back in 7th grade and a cop came in with an AR 15, I would have been like "oh shit, that's badass," NOT "oh shit, I'm gonna die!" I think the media have made our culture so sensitive to guns that they freak people out just to see them. Remember that story about Ryan Tannehill's wife left an AR in a rental car, and the new driver said she felt sick just seeing it? http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24410856/lauren-tannehill-wife-of-dolphins-qb-left-ar-15-rifle-in-rental-car So, yeah the cops probably could have prepared the students better, but I

I really don't "need" either, but I want both...

Got the AAC. Let the wait begin...

  6. if the technology was right I'd buy it. I'm not advocating that guns be replaced with "smart guns" but I'm all for giving consumers options.
  7. Headed to New Orleans for a conference tomorrow. Any good gun stores downtown? Not renting a car so it has to be in town.

  8. I posted this 5 days ago and it's still true. No one else has died in the US. I don't doubt that we're in for a shit storm at some point in the future, but it's name isn't Ebola.
  9. The judge ruled that she still needs to take her temp 2 times a day. If she stopped taking her own temp or hid a high temp then I could see criminal negligence. Otherwise, I don't see how she could be criminally liable. However, at this point she's tested negative for the virus and is not showing symptoms, and is therefore not contagious.
  10. Started watching Sons of Anarchy, not bad.

yep. agree, it was good for a few seasons. After season 3 it just turned into a soap opera. I try to still watch it once in awhile but just not too interested anymore

Keep in mind when you watch the series, Otto (in prison Kurt Sutter) is married in real life to Gemma (Katy Segal) who created the series.

  11. Glad it wasn't worse and they saw the light. Anyone else wonder what the dog was up to when all this was going on? Maybe time to get a bigger dog too.
  12. I hate to say it, but the way things are now I could see an attacker sue if he got sprayed with wasp spray and went blind. What's even scarier is that he might actually win. What's wrong with pepper spray?
  13. Feels like Fall

  14. I would not go so far as to call him a dumbass, but I agree with the point that we are a free market economy
  15. I became a member after I took Trek's class. Hardly anyone ever there when I go. But I have a flexible schedule and can go in the middle of the week. It's really nice to be the only guy on the range or at least the only guy in a particular shooting bay.
  16. Nice. I've done that class with Trek and taken a private pistol class with him. Good stuff. So which one is you?
  17. waiting for these crazy storms to show up in Michigan tomorrow. Anyone else have them roll through already?

  18. I admit it. I like Cabelas. Sure, their prices suck most of the time. However if you keep an eye you they occasionally run some sales that have decent prices. I've got a Cabela's card and get points. I pay it off every month and a couple times a year I can get free ammo with the points.
  19. Finally got out today. I forgot how cool that sound is when you drop the cartridges into the tube. This is the progression of me sighting in. Shooting at 1,000 yards. OK, more like 25 yards.
  20. I couldn't believe the amount of filth and grit I found in there. Up until the point my brother put it back together wrong it never jammed. All that filth kinda made me happy thinking about all of the times I shot it with my brother and the fun my dad and uncle must have had with it. I hope my son and nephew feel the same way in 30 years.
