  1. Hey all, I'm set on getting a Rock Island Armory .45. I'm looking for a compact CCW model that is reasonable online. I have an FFL dealer that will recieve it for me. From searching the web they are about 400$ to 425$. Anyone know of a good reputable online retailer that is reasonable? Thanks.
  2. The russian shit is badass. More than I want to spend though. I'm pretty much set on the strikehard AK chest rig. Dude's a vet and its made here at home. I do however have a question for anyone able to answer it: Does the US advanced load-bearing vest hold ak mags? And, does it fit well? My buddy is in the Army and is willing to throw a few my way cheap but I heard ak mags are tight to non-fitting. Thanks.
  3. I'll look into the chinese AK rig, thank you. I'm considering the strikehard also if I can deem it worth the money and the amount of use I'll put into it. Good ideas everyone, thanks.
  4. F*ck I guess I hit a nerve amongst our forum members. Maybe I'll just take the above advice and say "f*ck it". I guess having a tac vest seemed "handy". Thanks anyway everyone. I'll bow my humble inexperienced head and back up.
  5. Yeah i understand the made in USA quality thing but im not an operator nor am I going to "the sand box" to kill tangos. With that being said, my revised question is: will chinese "shit" work for a once a month shoot at the range holding american & euro 30 rd. AK mags and my H&K USP .40? So far the best tac vest that's US made and reasonable seems to be the strikehard one, (thanks for that). With quality being the highest factor it seems like the practical choice, i.e. strikehard. I'm still undecided so I'll welcome anymore input. Thanks again.
  6. Hey... Looking for a reasonable tactical vest to use at the range. I have my eyes on a leapers UTG tactical vest that has pretty high reviews on the web. Anyone own one or know of a comparable one thats around the 60$ range? Again, its just for range shooting to hold 30 rd. ak mags and a .40 cal pistol w/ mags. Thanks.
  7. I paid about 250 for the FCG and furniture. I suggest carolinashooterssupply.com. Pretty easy to do.
  8. here is my saiga. Just finished my conversion. Was much easier than I thought!
  9. Ok guys, right about now you should start to smell the baby powder on this noob but I am in need of some serious advice! I have a Saiga 7.62x39 with a quick detach sight mount. I want to add the the following: new forearm with tac rails, collapsable butt-stock, pistol grip, and forward grip. I think that these alone, US made parts will not put me at 922r compliance. What is the easiest, quickest method to do so? I have looked into conversion kits, but I'm a little unsure with the modding involved with the trigger group. I plan on using http://www.mississippiautoarms.com for this venture b
