  1. After buying and shooting my S-223,I was not even tempted by the WASR3.I'm getting 2 more S-223 to convert both the AK74S clones.I have the folding stocks, the FSB assemblies, the Gas blocks with lugs, bullet guides and the US parts needed.I just need to rifles and the time to have the work done. If I could pick up a wasr3 dirt cheap,I'd cut the receiver up and build a .223 krink pistol from the parts. BTW glad it finally worked out.
  2. That would "Ergo" grip not Euro,Falcon has a new model out that is supposed to be an improvement on the old Ergo grip.
  3. Likewise,my S-12 looks even cooler than before.I got a Saiga railed handguard and folding grip.Deal was smooth and everything was delivered as promised. Now he needs to get that kit put together and post some pics!
  4. I know what mine is but don't really care what someone else's comes out to,I'm going to go shoot and not give a damn anymore on this. I even used a dumb smiley so there.
  5. Gloabl has moved and they are waiting on their pohne lines to be installed and hooked up,jimmy said it would be a couple of weeks before they had them up and solid. They are using cell phones for communication. But they did not give the numbers out.
  6. Check out Freedom optics, they have mounts and scopes for the side rails.
  7. I know for a fact my barrel is 1:7.This was confirmed to me when the conversion was done on it. Factory specs are 1:7, I even got a confirmation from Izh that the S-223 are 1:7. I'm not doubting your twist rates on your rifles but I do know what mine is for certain as well as what the specs are for the the factory. Could it be an older version or newer version?
  8. What was your reason for replacing the piston? Was it to meet the required parts count?I avoid all century parts when ever possible. You can learn a lot reading these threads.
  9. Other way around, the G2 hammer needs a little fitting, the VEPR RSA is a drop in. Either one will be a bit narrow, and some people shim them to snug them up. Compare the end of the new piston to your old one, and make sure you didn't get the wrong one for a 5.56. Could be the gas is bleeding past the piston. Of course, we're all assuming you shot it before the conversion and it worked fine? O.S.O.K reported minor fitting issues with the RSA FCG for his Saiga-308.I was under the impression that the RSA is not a drop in FCG for the Saiga converted rifles.
  10. the 5 rd mag came with the rifle when I got it.I have no clue where to get one.
  11. What FCG are you using? I have heard that the RSA FCG needs some modification, but that the G2 works fine.
  12. I'm not a big fan of the last round bolt hold open follower, but I have found it to be quite useful on my V-308/M14KC.So I have seen the validity in these followers,I was under the impression that the bolt would hang once you removed the mag but I was quite wrong. If there was a way to have a LRBHO like the SKS on an AK system it would real useful for faster mag changes.
  13. I just compared my Vepr .308 and my Saiga .308 and the barrel at the trunnion is much wider than the Vepr model.Ultmak made a lower and upper rail for the Vepr,I doubt the same model would fit the Saiga.
  14. I own 1 .223,soon to be 3,and I own a 16" .308 and a 22" .308,then of course of big bertha S-12. 4 Saigas ATM with 2 more on the way.
