What are you planning to hunt for out there in AZ. ? If its just deer , Rem. ,Win. , Federal , Hornady, ect. with a 150 gr bullet will do fine . atleast thats what I use here in SW Pa. never had a problem If its Elk? 165-180 gr,ers same for black bear...........RU

Maybe you just have the incorrect bottom halve of the mount? which way does your clamping lever close ? to the front ? to the back? You may have the rail clamp for the SVD rail and NOT the AK rail ? Most AK clamps close to the rear of the rifle as a general rule at least the Milspec. ones do and the SVD clamp lever closes towards the front. If indeed you have the SVD clamp you can just take out those 4 screws and buy the proper one . If you do I'll buy the SVD clamp from ya!!!!!!!! RU

I am looking for a low profile weaver/ Picatinny side rail mount that fits the rail on the SVD/ PSL rifles . Even if you have one for the standard AK rail if its a good enough price I can buy the correct lower clamp elsewhere to replace it. If you have one give me a picture of it and a price or I could trade 4 like new never fired Hungarian 20 rd Tanker mags straight up for it or 2 mags and cash or whatever? Thanks , RU

Heres another simple one RU abbrev. of Russia well I guess "shooter" is kinda self explaining! Started shooting Russian weapons about 5 yrs ago starting with WWI and WW2 stuff ,now I have melded into collecting and shooting everything Russian. I Was going to thread the barrel but again I had no lathe and didnt think i could achieve the same results with just a file. So good old JB weld to the rescue! And dont worry I made sure the barrel was at least 16'' before cutting began , Its actually 17.5'' before I put the FH on. I thought 16 would have looked too short and out of proportion . Yes Good point about the op rod spring ,I figured that out last night and was thinking, Hey theres another spring I can trim down to to speed up the bolt movement, I cut about 3/8 off it and cleaned up the entire gas system really good . Thanks , You know I thought about the M16 bayo lug addition also But I was trying to keep a streamlined look to it. Secondly I didnt have a bayo. lug or M16 bayonet laying around! I took it out tonight to check sight alignment , It was fairly close @100 yds so that was good! then I tried some of the "new Wolf Milt. Classic " ammo I bought. WTF It would stove pipe jam just about every other round????? the Braunal ammo works good although the ejection is alot weaker than when the barrel was 4.5 inches longer. I guess the new Wolf is weaker? So does anyone know a remedy for this malfu

Go with the EG mak. if its in decent shape its well worth 220.00 especially since they are selling in the 300.00 range ! EG maks are the very top in quality and fit finish compared to other Maks. 9x18 mak ammo is easy to find and not expensive. BTW the are also listed on the C&R list if you happened to have a C&R FFL its cash and carry! Now go get it NOW befor someone else does!!!!!!! good luck. RU

I have this scope and it has the weaver base instead of the built in mount ,Just got it with my PSL and dont really know if i want to deal with the seperate mount. Anyways I searched several sights trying to find out what they are selling for ,but cant fint this model anywhere I can only find the rail mount 4-8x models .Anyone know what a realistic value is for it???? it also has the rear focus adjustment on it if that makes a difference? Anyone? TIA RU.
