Low brass doesn't mean anything. "High brass" is just a convention we've gotten used to. It isn't necessary for high power loads. Some shotgun shells have no brass at all except the primer pocket. I got 250rd of the Spartan (ups just dropped it off). It looks good. Star crimp. OAL 2.32" 0.01" longer than Winchester Universal. Spartan1.jpg spartan2.jpg Let it us know how it shoots! I ended up getting a great deal on some S&B so I went that route.

So how did you get it to fit mka rail? What do you mean? It was a tight fit but it fits fine. You do have to give the QD lever a little muscle to close it, but it's not going ANYWHERE.

My MKA1919XN has run 100% with Federal bulk back since day one. I have the Salem6 mag extensions and they've also performed 100% Buck and slugs are no issue, the only load that's given me any problems is a Rio Dove load. About 90% on those.

I found a retialer that sells it one box at a time and I need to order some PPQ mags from them so I'll pick up a box and see how it runs through the MKA1919.

I saw a video on YouTube of a guy shooting it through his Saiga 12 drum and it ran flawlessly. I'm leary on buying 250 rounds of it, which I could just find one box locally.

So how is this working out. It's been working out great. Probably has 400 rounds through it mix of bird, slugs, and buckshot. I really like it. Sorry for the late reply haven't been on the forum in a while.

LIke others have said the Primary Arms dots and Bushnell TRS25 are great choices. I wanted a more open sight picture so I went with the Sightmark Ultrashot QDNV Pro. It's actually held up really welll so far, which is about 250 rounds through it, mix of bird shot, slugs, and buckshot. It also feels very solid and has double pain glass. I was skeptical on this optic but I really like the different recticles and it's held zero just fine so far. I paid about $116 shipped on Amazon. Took out the MKA1919 out again today. Here's a video I shot of feeding the federal bulk back 100%. So far I've had one FTE on the Federal out of about 100 rounds, and that was one of the first mags I shot out of the gun. Keep in mind the gun is very new. The RIO dove load feeds about 90% of the time. No adjustments to the gas system or low recoil springs. Very happy so far with this beast! Had the oppurtunity to go down to Salem6 HQ and meet Troy the owner and have them install a few parts on my gun! Really cool guy and it was nice to see their operation and how the parts are made. Well guys the XN came in today so I immediately took her up to the mountains for some break in. She functioned about 90 percent right out of the box! In using 1345fps high brass loads and buckshot for my break in. I was just saying the new Winchester bulk packs are heavier loads than before. I still wouldn't buy them as Winchester has given me problems even in pump guns

From what I've read you want to be above 1200fps and at least 1 1/8 oz. I noticed a new bulk pack Winchester that is 1200fps and 1 1/8oz. In comparision the bulk Federal is only 7/80z and 1145fps. The federal is also a few bucks more.

Thanks! Sounds like the shells I got should work just fine to break it in. I figure once I break it in I'll spend the money on the stock adapter, handguard, etc.

Hey guys what's going on. I haven't been active on the forum for a while now. I built a Saiga 12 and got it running 100% then had to sell it due to some medical bills. I've been wanting to check out the MKA1919 for a long time and decided it would be my next project gun. I've been lurking in the forum reading alot and am excited for this bad boy to arrive and start the break in period! I bought some 1350FPS loads will that work good for break in? It's faster than some of the buckshot I have on hand. Are there any essential parts I need to order right away besides more mags? Just a few question
