  1. What really bothers me about that block is that they don't say what it is made of and that it uses a non standard sight post. Plenty of AR gas blocks are clamp on and seem to work well.
  2. True since we all know that they'd never change their minds on something. (Sigbrace) Now if we could get them to remove suppressors from the NFA...
  3. So as far as Federal law is concerned it's legal length? Just need to check my state's laws concerning it then?
  4. I have an unassembled M85 Krink kit that I will be having built. Was going to pin and weld a fake suppressor on it to bring it to over 16" barrel length. I am planning on putting an under folding stock on it. Best math on the measurement of overall length with the stock folded is 25 1/2" from muzzle (end of pinned fake suppressor) to the rear of the reciever. Is there a minimum length it has to maintain while folded to still be a legal rifle?
  5. Friend of mine is left eye dominant. Got a few of their uppers as they are one of the few that make lefty stuff. Seems like a quality piece of hardware, even though it ejects out the wrong side. Can't speak as to the quality of their lower recievers since he doesn't have any of theirs.
  6. You could also use a 300 winchester short magnum. Runs real close to the velocity of the 300 win mag but on a short action. Also uses less powder, which is nice if you're a reloader.
  7. How are you crimping the round? Using the crimp function of a seating die can deform the brass.
  8. Something to keep in mind... a free float handguard can be moved relative to the barrel. There's a reason the front sight post is mounted to the barrel. If you put enough pressure on the handguard you will change the point of aim to point of impact. You may want to consider an optic. Also of importance is only mounting the optic to the rails on the reciever for the same reason.
  9. To muddy the waters further... There's also the 300 Win Short Mag. Near 300 Win mag performance in a short action.
  10. Really haven't cared for all the rule changes that idiot has made recently and haven't seen a live race all year. Wont be recording them to watch later any more now.
  11. ^^^truth. Look what happened with surplus 5.45 ammo. Got people with the attitude of"I don't have anything that shoots it, so why do I care if it's banned" Look where that mindset got us.
  12. Yep. If i wanted something as simple as a relay tomorrow i would just have it overnighted from our own logistics center. Or one of our competitors fof that matter. I'd sooner buy from Otis/UTC than Grainger.
  13. I only have two to chose from, but my H&K USP Expert is the favorite of the two.
  14. If you had to move the windage all the way over on the AR, your receiver face may be out of square. It's easy to fix with a squaring tool. Takes like 5 minutes once you remove the barrel.
  15. You still shop there? They never have anything on hand. Can get it for you tomorrow by 0900. If I wanted it tomorrow at 0900, I'd come to the store tomorrow at 0900. F them anyway. They're already useless to me.
  16. I built an AR pistol in (10.5" barrel 1in7twist) .277 Wolverine. It compliments my 16" of the same caliber. If you're looking for an alternative AR caliber, check this one out. It uses .223/556 brass as the parent case, so all you need is a new barrel. It runs just shy of 6.8SPC velocities but you can still use 223 mags and bolt. I'd post pics but can't seem to do it from my tablet.
  17. If Glock is perfection, then why are there so many aftermarket upgrade parts for them?
  18. If it's extracting the brass from the chamber but not ejecting I'd be checking the ejector, not just the extractor. Could be that the plunger on the ejector is carboned up or the spring could be shot.
  19. Be careful not to adjust the trigger too light. If you go a little bit too far the trigger will half trip on cocking, requiring recocking before it will fire.
  20. If you're thinking of changing barrel length, why not just install the shorter barrel yourself?
  21. Normally I would say 6.8SPC. If I had only one of your list, it would be the .308.
  22. Theres little aftermarket support because its an H&K. It doesn't need it Seriously though, I have two USPs love them both. That damn proprietary rail sucks. Mags can sometimes be found police used on a particular H&K parts site.(not sure I can post the link to their site.) My next purchase is going to be a Mark23.
  23. An Adams Arms XLP piston drive conversion kit, Ar15 performance 6.8SPC barrel, and other goodies to assemble an upper. Going to be my rig for a suppressor. (Someday, when I get a suppressor.)
