  1. and imagine the sphincter pucker when the intruder hears that bolt close
  2. I need to see if I can go shoot by the river. It would be more cost effective and time efficient to try new rounds. Is clover compound like the dental paper dentists use to check mating areas for grinding??
  3. LOL it is one of my favorites!! It is on now. Waiting for the S-12s to blast a few!! That show is one of the main reasons I got my S-12.
  4. Thanks for the info Paul, I appreciate it. I getcha about the lower profile for the magazine feed and friction about the shells with the heavier springs and such. I think I will give those areas another go around of removing surface and polishing.. The ports are pretty open. I was able to sticj my guitar strings in them earlier and they are .009s. I will revisit this though. I know it isn't too hard to redrill the ports. I guess my warranty is out because of what I have done so far anyway. I don't have a press for the gas block so I am gonna have to get creative somehow should I need to
  5. Just got it and getting started. Hanging by all my guitars.
  6. thanks again guys, I posted some links to my polishing and rounding efforts in the bolt polishing thread. I basically did what armalite did. Nothing too drastic. yeah, I shot about 30 rds on gas setting 2 of the slugs. When I pulled the gas block apart, there was all kinds of sediment in there and the cylinder was a bit stuck. Gotta remember that gas setting! I am gonna wait til this weekend to go shooting again. At $12 a pop, but for all day, it isn't too cheap. Especially when you include the cost of slugs. I am supposing my gas ports are working pretty good if I have all kinds

  8. It is not near as nice as yours. That much is for sure. I basically took off the paint and shined it up a little. With the warnings of taking too much off, I decided to play it safe. real safe. hehe - bolt polisher was a joke btw... I will post up some pix this afternoon. I may go to the range again after work to put a few more down the field. I appreciate you guys! Peace out from Texas, Conley
  9. Hi all, I am a new owner and would like to post my experience. First, I would like to say thanks to the many folks who have posted their thoughts and suggestions in the forum. I have done a lot of reading the last couple days. I bought my S-12 on 09/02/2011 and was really excited to get this on the range. Alas, my excitement was cut short immediately. FTE and FTL issues hampered my range day. I had a 20 rd drum, 12 and 10 rd clips full of shot ammo that did not shoot in the S-12. After reading numerous posts on this forum and other forums that pointed back here, I decided to 'poli
  10. that looks nice. This thread is why I chose my forum name at this time...
