  1. Thanks for the reply. I know folks get a little rabid when it comes to release dates. I'm willing to wait, cause I know it'll be spot on when I mount it.
  2. Sweet. Thanks Cam. Any tentative time frame on the rear section yet?
  3. How about the AK Titan? According to your video it looks like it may not work with my Chaos quadrail? Say it isn't so.....
  4. There is one internal difference: The stepped chamber. At one point the Izmash facility started adding a small step inside the chamber. From what I've heard here it was so Russian investigators could determine if a civilian or military rifle was used in a shooting by examining spent brass. Not all Saigas in the U.S. have this feature. I'm not sure if they still produce them this way or not. My 2006 model has it. If you shoot a round and it has a bulged ring around the top of the shoulder it has a stepped chamber. Apparently, it doesn't have any noticeable effect on accuracy or ball
  5. I'm no expert, but the way I understand it is this: Sighting in at 25 yards puts you dead on at 100 yards due to the bullet drop of the 7.62x39 round out of the 16" barrel. So, if you sight in at 100 yards you should be good to go. If you sight in at 50 yards you're likely to be hitting high on all your shots. I think.
  6. I'm missing the point, I guess........ You have an SBR that isn't semi auto? Does this straight-pull bull mean a tax stamp isn't required? Sorry, I just haven't heard this one yet.
  7. I know the AKARS has a notched blade sight on it, but all I recall on the TWS is an optional peep sight.
  8. I thought it was too nice to sell. A real Beauty.
  9. I went with the Chaos rail and have been pleased with it so far. I put a grip pod on it so I haven't noticed it heating up. Then again it's aluminum. I think it looks sharp and seems pretty functional, plus it comes with it's own version of retainer. The retainer alone is 50.00 at CSS. I'm not bashing CSS. I bought my Chaos and all my conversion parts from them. I think they rock, but 50.00 bucks is kinda steep for what it is. I think I paid 120.00 for the Chaos rail. It has all the space I need should I try to go tacticool.
  10. Have fun with your new rifle. Enjoy it, feed it Tapco, stain it, shoot it, and for God's sake let you wife club somebody with it.
  11. I haven't tried either but, The dogleg or AKARS systems seem to get good reviews. Check those out.
  12. My wife bought me a motorcycle too.
