  1. Sorry for the cross posts but check out: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/72026-what-sights-do-you-like-for-competitiongeneral-shooting/page__fromsearch__1 for some websites I'm currently researching. I'm really interested to see if this fiber optic hybrid rail system might be worthy: http://www.mccannindustries.com/fors.htm
  2. Check out this review: http://www.shotgunworld.com/reviews_polychoke.htm Just got one from saiga-12.com (thanks for the flasher upgrade)
  3. Set up a non-profit corporation (you can do this FREE; go to the irs website and fill out the forms) and then take donations.
  4. Thanks, I see now--they have them pictured at the mfr website, too. Some people are taking them off I suppose to fit other rail systems...but, why not keep them on for quick acquisition and use the side mount accessory with a red dot...that way you can have the best of both worlds? I'm still thinking this hybrid system (http://www.mccannind...es.com/fors.htm) has some potential if you can get a good gunsmith to make it work with an S12. Keep you posted...I may try it once I find a good shotgunsmith in San Diego.
  5. Any comments to my post would be greatly appreciated! There are some interesting FO links in there, too. There is a new one out that has them built into the rails! http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/72026-what-sights-do-you-like-for-competitiongeneral-shooting/
  6. Sorry for the complete noobness but I haven't found a consensus on 3 gun shotgun sights. Couple questions: 1) What do people win with on the Saiga 12s? Yeah, I know...it's the shooter not the gun. 2) Would a simple ghost ring set up with fiber optic ("FO") front sight work the best? 2) Would it be beneficial to put a rib system in like the standard trap & skeet style? 3) Anyone use a combo system (red dot plus FO or iron sights?) 4) Any experience with this new one? (FO sights built into rail...has a link to youtube showing some comp stuff) http://www.mccannind...es.com/fors.htm
  7. I know this thread is a little old but I bought a sh*t load of slugs at a local gunshow and a new S12 to boot but learned you really need a rifled barrel (or special choke) to get the most out of the slugs...I'm considering the following: 2 five star ratings at their website, about $50...$40 on Amazon: http://www.basspro.com/Carlson-s-Rifled-Choke-Tubes/product/94899/39529?cm_ven=bazaarvoice&cm_cat=RLP&cm_pla=94899&cm_ite=productname_link Browing's Invector+ (about $65) http://www.amazon.com/12Ga-Sabot-Express-Extn-Tube/dp/B000TTT4AY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1319343208&
  8. Looks pretty cool but for $200 how good can it be? Wonder if the design affects accuracy and if this would be allowed in 3 gun competitions. Trigger looks a little wonky....wonder if that can be swapped out. Also, a bit sketchy without a guard close to the trigger, too. Why not add a recoil system in there? I imagine a lot of people would pay for a quality bull pup stock. Beta testers please post as soon as you test---I'm very interested to get your input. BTW: found this interesting looking setup bullpup w/ 20round mag and in white: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread
