  1. It may not be intended for it but if you had to shoot 100 you would completely miss with that short of a barrel. The 12in will put most of the pellets on target. 100yards isn't that far hallways or longer shots may be required. The 8 in does fire a 40in pattern which fired at a 20x40 shilouette means half of it missed at 12feet with standard buck. My 12in is 29in oal and shorter than the M4 I carried and used for that. I have no problem with it. There's a front and a back I call it like I see it.
  2. I'll be at the range this weekend I'm only bringing a new 12in and show you want a 12in will do.
  3. In fact I'll pay the $10 to see the video. 1 box of Remington 12 pellet patterned at 12 feet and one box of 3in 15 pellet just for laughs.
  4. I already posted it in the past it's not an outrageous claim you're the one saying it'll fire a fist size group and that you don't drill gas ports. I drill gas ports, tony drills gas ports, everyone with a short barrel probably did. I just told you what it will do. If you don't want to go verify that by buying a $5 box of shells that's on you.
  5. Just don't screw a muzzle break onto it and make it longer for no apparent reason. How loud it is would be another reason. I do like to shoot things from time to time without ear plugs.
  6. It's not too long it's not too short. You don't have to shorten the gas system which cuts the gas piston so short it comes out of the gas tube. You can still run regular buck with decent pattern dia.
  7. 12 is ideal length for a shotgun it's a 100fps muzzle velocity loss from 18in. You can still run the flight control or versatite wads without the back of the wad being blown off. If you cut it at 11in the fingers will be blown off. At 12 You'll still be able to hit at 100 yards. You can run the hornady 1500fps superformance or TAP to pick up the lost muzzle velocity.
  8. The shorter barrel isn't going to do better. I sent one to tony for the 8in conversion on a F1 That tells me you guys don't run any buckshot out of these guns.
  9. If you want to disprove me then run to the store and get a box. I already know mine will. You'll need a very large sheet of cardboard
  10. If you need a smooth finish hot bluing is your friend
  11. Don't just please don't. You take the finish off that protects the parts from rust.
  12. You could've got it to run low brass with 12in of barrel but it's already too short. If this is your combat/HD gun I don't see a reason to make it run low brass. I'm not shooting birds. You don't need a breaching break for wood doors either. My entire time in the military we used a standard mossberg pump (pistol grip only) and pressed the barrel against the door at a 45 degree angle. We also breached with 9 pellet Winchester buckshot.
  13. If you wanted it to run high brass only you could've drilled it yourself. If you want to run low brass then you'll have to send it. The Bonnie and Clyde method works typically leave a shotgun shells length of barrel in front of the gas block and it'll run all high brass. A punch and wire gauge drill bits works. It's opening gas ports stepping up by thousands. You can drill them on an angle as well to blow gas on the puck.
  14. No it's an amnisty registration free for all. You get a free registration as a DD and the barrel length doesn't matter anymore. If it happens send in the paperwork and chop the barrel to 12in The problem is some states don't allow DD. You have to sell or turn in. Those people wanting an AA12 though should take a close look at the USAS. It may be worth the stamp to you.
  15. They do approve my stuff quickly but refunds are a different story.
  16. They seem like nice enough people even though they owe me money. I'm expecting treasury check any day now... for months
  17. Ill be changing stocks if I buy one anyway. We'll see if it's reputation lives up to the name.
  18. Here's why https://www.google.com/amp/freebeacon.com/national-security/china-asks-u-s-to-lift-sanctions-on-arms-proliferators-iran-traders/amp/
  19. I'd honestly like to know how we're getting imports from china when norinco has been sanctioned forever. I haven't seen a Chinese import since polytech. They aren't allowed to own guns so it's safe to say these companies are the same.
  20. I don't know shit though I'm just a guy who buys the stuff and finds out it isn't up to the task.
  21. In fact I posted pictures of all this a long time ago. I got a 40in pattern with 8in at 12 feet with 12 pellet Remington. It'll be the same with 15 pellet 3in. I actually use it and those are the loads I would normally use. 2 & 3/4, 3in I even cracked the weld on a folding stock from tromix. The adapter was welded to the receiver.
  22. Fire any standard buckshot with cardboard wads behind it Winchester, Remington express, even federal without a flight control wad and you'll see. It will spray such a large diameter pattern it won't hit anything I see you quit arguing that it doesn't blow the back of the wad off.
  23. I'm not talking about just the wad because the wad holds the shot outside the barrel. The wad doesn't fly straight the shot doesn't either. It has less drag wont fall away as quickly or fly straight. Your work may be quality according to you but there's a reason the factory gun has a 12in barrel 100 yards isn't that far to have to shoot out in the open. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the gun to accomplish that.
  24. I noticed even at shorter distances of less than 25 that this wasn't flying straight all the time.
  25. I take my short barrels out on the 100 yard rifle range.
