  1. Well, it simply doesn't spit the brass out more than a few feet (4 or 5 max) and never has. I saw a video here several months back where someone else had the same problem/issue with the 308. I believe the cure is supposed to be increasing gas flow but I really don't see it as that big a deal. Seeing as how I'm lazy too, I don't mind not having to chase brass. Someone mentioned that if they were using one for self defense rather than just range work that they would prefer stronger ejection. That makes sense, but mine is strictly a range gun and besides that has never had any failures to feed, f
  2. Your web site says sold out ? Except for the 1 in stock converted .
  3. Go check Atlantic firearms , kvar they just got a shipments I'm a month or so ago and I'm pretty sure there was a couple other distributors but can't remember the others Atlantic arms has the 16 in. KVAR has the 21 in.
  4. 1. Yes 2 . Only matters if u are reloading 3. Not serious issue , like ccspecs said file and polish rough edges on 3rd lug also some after market mags have to much spring pressure when fully loaded in my 25rd mags I only load 20 (surefire) I fully load the 20rd fbmg/uinita mag and 20 in a 24rd promag .
  5. I'm not 100% but I don't think there is a trigger upgrade for an unconverted saiga 308 if u want a better trigger gotta convert it . But I could be wrong I'm interested to see if someone has a definite answer for that .
  6. Use laser bore sight tool to adjust windage at home in a vice pointed at a wall and use a small paper Target with rear leaf set at 100 set front sight post so that poa is 1" higher than laser and that should get u in the neighborhood
  7. The company making them is XS Products. They just changed names use to be allied armament 3 months ago when I originally contacted them they where still under the allied name with the x-mag products but Probley change name to get away bankruptcy because if u Google allied armament one of the first things u see is about them going bankrupt in 2009.
  8. Cool I'll check it out because the dent in brass is so bad that there no good for reloading . I'm thinking bout ordering a new recoil spring but let me know how that 74 cover works out might do that also .
  9. Most people are gonna say save the money you will spend on shipping and labor to use on accessories. Mine was used and already converted but there's not much to a conversion other than taking parts off and putting parts on . There are several company's that will do the conversion for you that are members of the forum and post all the time . Most of them are listed on the home page you could select one by geographic location or by the parts they will use . I know that wasn't much help but I was bored and surfing the forum so I figured I'd chime in.
  10. I would be a customer for spare parts if the price isn't a crazy number . I would say that if the prices weren't to much more than the same part that is available for other ak platforms a lot of people would jump on board . But on the other hand since they have started importing again and a brand new rifle is 500 dollars . I wouldn't want to pay more for parts than I would a new rifle .
  11. Finally made a range trip since I received the buffer and the buffer didn't help the case dents during ejection and the point in which the case is dented on the dust cover is more evident . So maybe the recoil spring is weak and needs replacing or has something to do with the angle in which the ejector is contacting the case . And the third lug dent only occurred this time with a fully loaded sure fire mag (25rd) didn't happen if only loaded 20 rd and didn't happen in fully loaded fbmg and promag.
  12. I also contacted allied armament about drums and reply was first of 2012 but with the company going bankrupt in I think 2009 not sure if it will really happen.
  13. Hey frustratedincali my stock and recoil pad are the same I believe similar setup , what kind cheek weld pad is that and where ya got it and how ya like it? Yo funky i believe thats a ATI universal... 15. Um let's see u make a lot of good points I am not a mountain of knowledge when it comes to the multitude if firearms , and I'm not tryin to be a Dick and challenge u. I'm just voicing my opinion of what I would want if I was to install a folding stock to me its not for storage its for close quarters combat and and the ability to shoulder for longer range . So we have different views as to the need of a folding stock I agree to disagree .
