I wouldnt be suprised if they are from china with romy markings. i have both a chinese and a romy windup drums and they are very much alike. seems like a good way to get around the import ban

no because the barrel on a saiga foward of the front site is a little longer on a saiga then on a military ak or clone . i know this because i have this problem now.

i remember when you could get the 7.62x39 &223 saigas for $180 in 03-04

i have 6 surefire mags for my 308 and they are all a little tight fitting and they all function fine so i wouldnt worrie about it...

no. ive already done 3 before this one and they only get easier...

thats dumb. so in ct 7.63x39 akm,s are banned but 5.56x45 are not . is 7.62 more dangerous sounds like a bunch of nutty libs with no firearms knowledge wrote that law in the we violate the constitution state..

excellent job! i have done 4 2s-308 & 2 223s they get easier the more you do them my last one took 11/2 hrs i put blonde romy wood i got off a SAR-3 on it . i made my own lower handguard retainer for it . ill have to post some pics later on tonight in the 223 forum..

i went with the surefire fire mags for my 223 saiga conversion i have thier 308 mags and they function fine for me you can get them from mississippi auto arms they are very nice guys to deal with . i reccomend them.

i made an order last week for some mags and my bank account was over charged my wife called MAA and they promptly fixed the problem i just want to say thanx and i will order from them again .... they are awsome BJM Virginia

+1 I agree do it yourself its not that hard . ive already don a 223 & a 21inch 308 and im waiting for the parts so i can finnish my 16imch 308 ... GO FOR IT
