  1. Does anyone know how to remove the FSB.?
  2. If you have a have the tools necessary for threading the barrel please let me know. I need to thread my barrel and i'm somewhat limited right now on funds, that is why renting the tools will be a good option for me. I would require the usual tools; die, die holder, tat, and possibly the barrel cutter) I'm looking for 14/1. Anyone willing to help, please shoot me a message.
  3. Im getting 1-2 inch group at 100 yards (Iron sights) Saiga 20"
  4. Tapco mags feed well, given you have installed a bullet guide. They do have a woble(left and right), but for the price of a 223 mag, this is a really good deal.
  5. How do you dress up your saiga 20" barrel. (Handguard / buttstock / pistol grip / optics) Post some pictures, only 20" barrel. I am starting this topic, because i been looking through the forum and I have not found to many decked out saiga 20" images. I'm interested to see what kind of design you have, and hopefully we can all share our ideas. My Saiga: -UTG Handguard -Tapco Saw pistol grip -Tapco Warsaw buttstock -Tapco 30rd galil magazine -Tapco short forward grip -POSP 4x24 Scope -Generic sling
  6. I have a Saiga 223 with a 20" barrel. I personally would have preferred the 16" barrel, because of the ergonomics. However the 20" barrel in my opinion provides excellent accuracy and higher muzzle velocity. So what do you have and what do you prefer. In retrospect I would have gone with the 16" barrel, but when I bought the rifle I was new to this hobby and had hardly any knowledge. I remember purchasing the rifle like it was yesterday. I said to the arms dealer "what do you have in the 500 range, i was looking for a kal tec 223 if you had any available" Arms dealer responded, " we don't
  7. Well I have fired several other rifles, including a 7.62 Hungarian ak, and the recoil is not as much as the 7.62, but i was expecting a lighter recoil for .223 and certainly was expecting less muzzle rise. Yes this is my first center fire rifle. I find it difficult to land consecutive rapid fire shots in the 30 yard range(standing up). Maybe a muzzle device will help in keeping the rifle stabilized when firing, what do you think. I have been watching several videos lately on muzzle brakes and it looks to be true in keeping the muzzle rise more stabilized.
  8. I will go with the wolf recoil spring, as a started and a muzzle brake is the next project. Shaving the piston i'm not so sure about, did it effect the cycle rate of the rifle? Can you post some pictures of your gas piston.
  9. Is anybody having issues with the recoil and barrel rise of the saiga 223. It seems rather excessive for .223 I'm firing 55gr wolf ammo on a 20" barrel, w/ no muzzle device.
  10. I'm guessing everyone is having the same issues with the saiga 223 (20" barrel). I get significant kick and barrel rise from my saiga. I been thinking of installing a muzzle brake w. 1/2x28 threading (more options available for 223). Now that I have read above it does not sound complicated at all, but anybody have the tools for renting?
