  1. Hunter, that thing is bad to the bone man! I've been trying to get up the nerve to tackle the conversion myself, and reading your thread helped with the self-confidence thing. I've got the Shark Brake from Tony and it's installed along with an internal buffer from BlackJack buffers. That made a lot of difference to me as far as felt recoil. I decided on the Socom stock with folder months ago, and now seeing yours makes it definite! Your pics look just like what I want. Then later on I want to get an 8" SBS from Tony. Thanks for all the pics and for the thread too man. Any chance you coul
  2. they need to make cologne with the residue gunpowder Ahhhhh.....the smell of fresh gunpowder.
  3. quote] hell i used my toothbrush on the piston... anyone need a toothbrush... like new Maybe that's where that carbon on your teeth came from? J/K
  4. BAM! Thanks Cobra & MC! I'm sure that a "thorough" cleaning will improve things. Any suggestions about modding the "feeding ramp" of the barrel? I saw a couple of mentions about that. Recommended? Thanks again guys for the quick responses!
  5. My S12 is one of those that won't cycle light loads on the #1 gas setting, but now it's beginning to stovepipe even on the #2 setting as well. Seems to happen with the 5 round mags and the 10 rounders. Some troubleshooting advice from some of the Saiga Sages here would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
  6. Hey guys! I sent off a USPS MO to pre-order a Wraithmaker yesterday. I emailed and asked last week if it would work with 2 3/4" shells and he came back with an email, saying "Due to the overwhelming response for 2 3/4", that they would start with that size and mine would be 2 3/4". I haven't been able to spend as much time here lately, and hadn't been aware of the "turn around" in opinion here over the drum thing. But I hope to pick up one from Mike Davidson as well, as soon as they're available. Mike at WM says he anticipates a 30-45 day delivery on mine. I'll let you guys know how it wo
  7. I put one of the Liberty 100 rifles on layaway recently. It comes with 2- 100 round 9mm mags! Looking for one of the crank loaders for the mag. Anyone got a line on one?
  8. rflives, don't give up hope on the warranty. Kel-Tec has a a "don't ask-don't tell" practice with their warranty service. Even though the warranty says "to the original owner", KTOG is full of stories where many have sent in their used KT and got them serviced no charge! Send it in, they'll take care of you. They never ask if you are the original owner.
  9. Keyser, I have all the KT pistols and rifles as well. 8 in all! The P-32 and the P3AT are both very comfortable for pocket carry. The P-11 is a little much for pocket carry, and the new PF-9 is manageable in the pocket. All are great pistols once you do a little fluff and buff. I also have the Sub2000 .40 carbine, PLR-16, and the SU-16C. All the KT's are great, and their CS is second to none. I have spare parts for all of them, sent to me free for the asking. There is also a trigger mod for the P-11 that lightens the trigger pull to around 4.5 lbs. Do a search on the KTOG forum.
  10. The Hogue exotic wood grips look pretty nice on them also. The word is not to trust the decocker. Mine works, but I don't need it anyway. Big fun for cheap!
  11. Tech, the PLR-16 is a ton of fun! You might not want to use it for HD though. It is loud! It would certainly do the job, but your ears would bleed...lol. If you get it you won't be disappointed. The compact fore end is a must. Makes it much easier to hold, provides bottom rail for bipod, and looks very cool. I added the sling, a birdcage flash hider and an ADCO Solo reflex sight. Lots of firepower in a pistol, and I can slip it into my leather laptop case.
  12. BFT, I have an RIA .45 also with Novak mags. I bought a couple Chip mags, but in the end went looking for more Novaks because I found them to be the better mag. What are the "stories about Novaks" that you've heard. I've never heard anything bad about them, and have always found them to work the best in my RIA and my new Taurus PT 1911 as well. 8 out of the 10 mags I have now are Novaks. Thanks for any info. Badman
  13. The Gun Digest Book of Assault Weapons 6th Edition is 256 pages of information with plenty of great pics! Large paperback, -by Jack Lewis
  14. Novak mags all the way IMO! Never had a bad Novak. Can't say the same about ProMag.
  15. --> QUOTE(G O B @ Feb 26 2007, 07:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Chain letters, internet petitions - most of this is just a cheap attempt at getting e-mail addresses. Even when legit, somebody will rip it off and commit spam. You're a spam target the minute you sign on, but this petition is a worthy cause. I'm glad I signed it. I did check the options not to be sent email. It now has over 5000 names.
  16. Here's the link to the carbine threads on the Hi-Point forum. All you need to know about the ATI stock/conversion, hi-cap Pro Mag fix, etc. Also a guy on there sells beautiful barrel shrouds for it. Still no ATI stock for the .40 version though. I still have a soft spot for the old Planet of the Apes original stock though, so I have one of each. http://hipoint.7.forumer.com/viewforum.php?f=4
  17. Check this out guys! It only takes a minute to sign. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/409898348
  18. AZ, I'd love to see those pics if it's not too much trouble! Mean avatar BTW.
  19. Saw that one in the theater, now have the DVD. Great gun movie. Wasn't it based on a true story? Yeah that's the one! Hey isn't that our buddy Mick there? <<<<-------- Wasn't long after seeing this movie that I bought my first AK!
  20. I like the answer to this question also...
  21. Ironhead and Busy Squirrel, looks like you guys took advantage of the great weather and had lots of fun. Way to go. More power to you. Oh yeah, we hate you. Nah, J/K.
