Both I have are on Saiga conversions and fit perfectly. The polymer hinged ones (which I have) are about the length of a Nato stock. As I have said before on here they also can be made to fold either way very easily. I am 6 ft. tall and they feel just right to me.

I have two on aks. The length is not adjustable. I like them and have had no problems with them. Check Amazon for price.

I have two of the Makos, on a 5.45 and a 7.62 so my vote is for them. They are folding and have a cheek rise if you ever need it. Those stocks are reversible if you mount anything on your side rail. If looks is your only concern, the kvar looks better in my opinion.

Jetmech shipped parts out right away. They were exactly as described. He even paid a little extra to Paypal because of my mistake.

Gundeals.com in the ammo section list most ammo prices and if it's corrosive (CO) or non-corrosive (NC). Even list shipping cost and price per round.

I have the Mako stock on a 5.45 and a 7.62. They are great stocks that fit very solid to the Saiga rifles, plus they are reversible.

After conversion bolt carrier seems sticky..

I had the same exact problem. Was giving me fits until I read this about the trigger guard screw. Ground screw down with Dremel and problem solved. Thanks! -
It's not all that bad. In my case shipping is about the same as the money I save on sales tax that you pay at the store.

Just curious. Does the shepherd's crook come in the Saiga's from the factory? Are the Arsenals no good because they have shepherd's crooks?

gundeals.com will give you shipping charges. http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php?caliber=5.45x39

I recently purchased one of these. I read somewhere that Classic stated that the gun shop close by is doing the conversions not TGI. I also like mine.
-
I have one from Classic. I mentioned an ad I saw and got it for 419.99. I like it . The bullet guide is welded on, but it's a nice job. Stock, pistol grip, trigger group, and mag are all Tapco. The thing I don't like about it is they leave the BHO out and don't send it to you.

Which is the latest Russian version of the 5.45 rifle?

The Saiga 5.45 on Centerfire ad states it will accept AK mags. http://centerfiresystems.com/sai-545.aspx The ad on JG says it will not. http://www.jgsales.com/product_info.php/p/saiga-5-45x39-sporter-rifle%2C-tgi-import%2C-new-/products_id/5887. Are these two different rifles?
