these drop right in and folds to right so that it doesn't interfere with rail/optic unlike most side folders. IMHO, these are the most practical side folders out there. AK74 style side folders are nice but they interfere with optics. I also take USPS MO mailed certified with tracking no. I just spoke to Bob@ACE and he said that you need hinge, pignose adapter, and locking ring. The locking ring is needed because SOCOM stock have longer and thinner threads than regular AR stock. Backend of the stock attaches to pignose adapter. One end of hinge attaches to the internal receiver block and the other end attaches to the pignose adapter. --John
