  1. Awsome I did the same last weekend and was happy to see clean threads too. I knew it was threaded but mine were clean like yours no epoxy junk on them.
  2. So this is just for overall quality from Century? It was already stated that if you pick up an Arsenal that you still have to deal with the shepherds crook. And since it is not mentioned as much the Classic converson is not the same as the Century.
  3. Ok thank you for your replies. I think i will be skipping picking up a quad rail then. I posted my reasoning for not picking up a Chaos. Other gun projects take priority was just wondering if the quad on eaby would be an ok purchase for somthing to play around with
  4. Im looking at some Quad rail on ebay for my rifle. When you type in "Saiga quad" It brings them up They range around $45.00 and come with rail covers Are those UTG? Anyone ever try one? I really like Chaos but realisticly i cant spend $100 on a forearm. I have other gun projects that come ahead of my saiga
  5. Yea yesterday i finally got to work on the end of mine. The only thing i need now is a crush washer ill order one soon. First i read somwhere that a sparkplug one will work. we will see but here is what it looks like. I also was not too fond of the original buttstock. I picked up the K-Var Nato length off Ebay for around $35 with shipping and sold the tapco one on ebay for close to $30 with shipping back on ebay. I want to put a Chaos quad rail on but that will have to wait. I have a Mosin Nagant that needs an original stock and a Ruger MKI that was given to me by my sister that is missing
  6. Is this what you are talking about?? This is a classic arms conversion. That looks pretty snug on there. I can take it off tho. The Rivet is not coming out with regular use. Here is a pic of the tapco group
  7. Watching the video it is hard to tell i cant get a good look at the crown. It might be threaded hard to say. Gasper44 please refer to http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/48234-i-got-factory-threaded-barrel-on-my-saiga-762/ That will give info about the ones that come from the factory threaded I have recived 1 non threaded 1 threaded from classicarms converted
  8. You should give them a call about the stock. There are a few posts on how to install the bho. I believe you have to shave a bit on one side of the hammer to have it fit back in. I have ordered 2 from classic and not had the problem with the grinding don't know how to help with that. They included the stock in both orders and one came with the original 10rnd mag while the other did not. Out of the 2 converted 7.62x39 that i ordered one came with factory threads the other did not. It is my understanding that only a select few from the 2009 production came with the factory barrels threa
  9. They also include the original stock which adds around 4" to the rear end. A bit too much for me and does not quite look right
  10. Thought i would toss some more info up on it. When I was trying to research it i had a few questions about it The original trigger guard is on it as far as i can tell. They riviot the back and then weld the front to the mag catch housing It does not look like its going anywhere I was also wondering how they would fill the holes left from the original trigger. They used small metal riviots again like the trigger guard. It also has the velcro mark ill have to pick up some strike anywhere matches to keeep in the cleaning kit..... Also as far as i know it is converted by TGI whic
  11. Hi there I have been lurking for a few weeks but now i get to join the club. Picked up my first second 7.62x39 Saiga from Classic Arms for 449.00. Its the second because i had the first one for around 4 hours before a friend saw it and gave me $600.00 for it. Did not want to sell, wanted to shoot it. Well he talked me into it and had to wait another week for it. Im very happy with it. Shoots like a dream. I know alot of people prefer to convert on their own. But with the price it was around the same to just pick this up. The first one came with a cleaning kit, a 30 round tapco mag, oil bottl
  12. I can see the threads im not 100% positive but i think i have all the checks Am I missing anything on the list? or Forgetting to check a part? The ammo does not step thats correct right? Has the handguard cutouts Here is the full view my buddy gave me his old 45mm red dot he purchased foe $200.00 when they came out its big but works nicely
