I went ahead and ordered a sight adjustment tool to fix the front sight along with a utg detachable rail for a red dot today.

Took my 9yo son and the new saiga to the range for the first time. The saiga performed flawlessly with surplus mags and even pro mag magazines, even though I have heard bad things about them. Two things I noticed, it shoots to the left and it has a lot more recoil than I expected. I must say it is fun to shoot. We were shooting at 50 yards.

How did you color in the stamped writing on your rifle?

Just finished my first conversion. This is my first saiga and haven't even busted her cherry yet. I'm hoping to break her in this week. Thanks to all the info on this forum the conversion was a piece of cake.
