  1. Is it possible to buy only the gas tube, upper hand guard and lower hand guard? If so what's the price?
  2. Damnit i didnt plan for that variable!
  3. Very true. I toatally agree with you! You are spot on. Lmao
  4. Yes we practice to flee as quietly ass possible. Just because one cant be totally silent dosent mean he shouldnt be as quite as possible when trying to escape a potential life or death situation without being spotted. Your scenarios are just theory just like a home invasion is just theory at the time. What if there are 3 intruders?? What if there is 4? What if all 4 are in the living room while I sneak my family out the back? Whatever situation you and i bring up, its just theory. Too many variables. Im just one to eliminate any possible variables to my advantage.
  5. Sweet!! I now want a folder! Great looking rifle! I too went with the ergo grip! Any problems with the grip install?? I had a slight gap and had to sand to make it fit properly.
  6. I think i might do the foam! The stock being hollow is what amplifies the sound so much, so the foam should supress it greatly.
  7. It sure does! I was thinking of sliding in some foam around the spring to.dampen the sound so.there is no need to pull the spring out. I hear you, but when armed, if i have the option of safely getting my family out of my home without altercation, I would like to flee as quietly ass possible. Thats just my outlook of that situation.
  8. Your and Lemons discription of the process gave me the inspiration to do it myself. Thanks. I hope to repost next week with a succesful update!
  9. Awesome! Im going to see how much it will dampen the sound.
  10. Thanks guys I believe i leverged it incorrectly. I used the cleaning kit and i used it the same way i used it to move it foward to move it downward, if that makes any sense. Gunsmith at my shop was out today so i will call tommorow. I will see what he charges. I really hope its a fair price. Thats a good question. I was assuming the dimple helped keep it locked and keep it from slipping open, but if not and i could safley lock it without worring about it opening i would do it.
  11. Lol, i was using the cleaning kit incorrectly which caused it to bend, then eventually snap. Yea i will be calling a local gunsmith tommorow morning.
  12. Boy am I upset at myself. After trying removing the gas tube for the first time, i was succesful using the cleaning kit and reading a post. Now locking it back down was another story. Maybe i missed something but it was difficult. I obviously used to much force and snapped the latch in half. Has anyone ever done this? Should i take this to be repaired by a gunsmith? What would be a ball park estimate for repair?
  13. Lol wow I would have truly never guessed. Thanks alot guys. Im just going to try and gut it. I cant stand any rattling. I wouldnt wanna give my location away in a quite home defense situation.
  14. I was getting verry annoyd at hearing my stock rattle, so i decided to take it apart. To my suprise a small spring loaded plate flew out and there was a spring similar to a buffer spring inside. Has anyone taken there stock apart? Has anyone been able to get rid of the rattle? What are the springs for? Thanks in advance.
  15. I am completley new to the platform and have not developed the keen eye that many of you have, so i ask....... Do you think my saiga may have the potential of a threaded barrel?
