    jamming

I'm using silver bear not wolf, think it has a zinc finish on steel. Imagine some laquer on them also. I've cleaned the chamber using a brush and solvent. Just used a size that would hit the chamber walls. Haven't had a chance to head back out with it. When I do, will start with a clean chamber, action, barrel, and use brass first. If no jams will go to silver bear then back to brass for a bit and report on here. thanks

--> QUOTE(G O B @ Oct 5 2006, 07:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you using a buffer? I use a black Blackjack. If you have a Buffertech it may be TOO thick, and cause ejection problems due to the action short cyclng. No buffer. I will try some extra cleaning in the chamber and shoot some brass ammo first. I think that some general use may "smooth" things up. Just was not expecting any jams on this type action. I was using an 8 power scope, so nothing to brag about on my grouping that day. tks, to all for your suggestions.

    jamming

Have a saiga 308 21.8" barrel. It's jammed a few times using remmington. Never jammed on russian silver bear. About same accuracy with both. Best 100 yd. group so far about 1 1/8", conditions not ideal. Jams occurred during ejection, with the empty being caught between bolt and chamber. Any ideas?
  4. Hi, I'm thinking about getting a saiga 308, was thinking the 22" barrel would be more accurate, but have seen on here some remarks about better harmonics in the 16" barrel. Any opinions as the most accurate barrel? I like the looks of the wood, any opinions if the synthetic might tend to fit better and increase accuracy? thanks, dan
  5. What barrel length is your gun, which length have you heard as the most accurate?
